Studio Showcase: Burning of Prospero Display Board
As anyone who has visited the Warhammer World exhibition centre can attest to, the Warhammer World studio team are responsible for the most impressive Warhammer displays anywhere in the world.
A few weeks back, at the Warhammer 40,000 Open Day, they unveiled their latest display: a depiction of a battle from the Burning of Prospero. The board is glorious. It’s festooned with characterful detail and great set pieces (such as Russ and his wolves battling against the crimson defenders of Tizca). Without a doubt, one of the most impressive elements is the city itself. The scenery is largely custom built using all manner of materials, and really captures the noble spirit of Prospero. It’s a great rendition of the landscape we’ve come to know over the years as featured on the cover of novels and inside codexes.
