The Roll of Honour: Winners of Warhammer’s ultimate accolades

Every year, Warhammer players take part in thousands of organised events around the world. And although the taking part is often the funnest part, each year will see champions emerge – and it’s here that we mark those who have triumphed.

The winners of the World Championships of Warhammer and the Warhammer Global Rankings in each year are immortalised on this page. 

The World Championships of Warhammer: Roll of Honour

The World Championships of Warhammer brings together hobbyists from around the world who have already triumphed at one of hundreds of Qualifier events. Every competitor is already a champion, so to emerge victorious from the Championship bracket requires a truly exceptional general.

The Best General at the World Championships will be the player that goes through the pool stages into the Championship bracket, and then battles their way to the Grand Final to emerge victorious.

The Warhammer 40,000 hobby is multi-faceted; including social, gaming, and artistic components. With that in mind, the Best Overall accolade is determined by combining a player’s hobby and generalship scores.

Past Winners of the Warhammer Global Rankings and International Tournament Circuit

The Warhammer Global Rankings (previously called the International Tournament Circuit) awards points to players who attend participating Warhammer events around the world. At the end of each season, which runs between the annual World Championships of Warhammer, the top-ranked players in the Competitive and Hobby Tracks are crowned as that year’s winner.

For the Competitive Track, points are awarded based on your final position at an event, the size of the event, the number of rounds and your path to victory. Your top event results of the season will determine your overall score. Events run by Approved TOs, along with World Championship Qualifier events, also add a small additional points bump for participating players.

The Hobby Track is similar, but rather than your generalship points it takes into account event scores for painting, conversions and so on.
