Organiser resources for Warhammer Events

Organised events are a hugely enjoyable way to play Warhammer, but without Event and Tournament Organisers, no one would get to experience them.

These often unsung heroes of the Warhammer scene are the people actually in charge of running events, from organising venues and preparing the attendee information packs, to setting up the boards and making decisions on rules queries.

It sounds like hard work (and it can be!) but running an event can be huge fun and a

different way to enjoy the Warhammer hobby. There are few things as rewarding as watching over a group of enthusiastic hobbyists playing competitive Warhammer at an event that you have organised.

We’re always keen to help out TOs, and this page includes a collection of Tournament Organiser Resources that you might find useful when preparing your own events.

We’ll be adding more files to this page, so check back for the latest. Future files will include everything from how to deal with timekeeping and problematic rules interactions, to deep dives on event formats and considerations when putting your own perfect event together.

The Approved Tournament Organiser program

Warhammer’s Approved Tournament Organiser program provides support to thousands of organisers throughout the world, through rules support and other means.

If your event has an annual attendance of 96 or more, you can apply for further support by following this link and completing the form.

World Championships of Warhammer Qualifiers

If you run a large or long-running tournament or convention for your local Warhammer community, you can apply to make it a World Championship Qualifier event. Being a qualifier event means that you will be able to offer Golden Tickets to the World Championships of Warhammer for the winners of your event.

Tournament organisers anywhere in the world can apply for their event to become a qualifier for the next World Championships, and applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. Click here to apply.

The number of qualifying events and Golden Tickets available each year varies based on a number of factors, so all events must apply on an annual basis. We read and carefully consider every application, wherever you hail from or however soon your event is, so if you don’t make it as a qualifying event, make sure to try again in future years.
