A spy and enforcer of the Freeguilds must keep discipline as his troops descend into madness in the depths of Shyish in a new Mortal Realms novel from Black Library.
Whisperblade – author Hal Wilson’s first full-length Black Library novel – follows Zelef Eryx,* a whisperblade who is thrust into a crusade that will venture into the darkest reaches of Shyish. After the Raven City, Lethis, is endangered by a mysterious menace, a search is launched for the lost fortress of Udriste, whose near-mythical weapons and knowledge could save Lethis – as long as it still exists.
Surrounded by the growing madness of the Realm of Death, insubordination and infighting brew amongst the crusade's troops – the very thing Eryx is bound to prevent from happening. As the desperate mission continues, he is hounded by hidden threats causing him to question if they will discover Udriste in time to save Lethis – and if his sanity, and that of his comrades, can endure the journey.
Whisperblade will be available to pre-order soon. In the meantime, learn more about the Raven City in The Dead Kingdom by John French, and follow those sworn to save the Mortal Realms for humanity in Callis and Toll by David Annandale.**
* First seen in Hal’s short story, The Wanderer.
** Both are also available as eBooks via the Black Library app.
