Four new heroes get ready to take on Gelgus Pust and his plague-infested followers with Agents of the Order Azyr – the first expansion for Warhammer Quest: Darkwater.

But who are these heroic adventurers willing to risk their lives to cleanse the Jade Abbey and remove the corruption of Nurgle? Safiya Ashcross is a witch hunter who has earned a reputation for ruthlessness. In battle she can buff her fellow heroes or debuff enemies.
Caul Durnan is a sharpshooter who has travelled with Ashcross for years. The former Wildercorps marksman is equipped with customised bolts, each designed to be used against different targets.
Brother Belias is a battle-priest, whose faith in the Great Wheel alters his Defence and Hit characteristics.
Finally, Ignus Sharn is a Bright Wizard who has been all but expelled from the Collegiate Arcane. Assigned to Ashcross’s ragtag retinue of killers, thieves, and outcasts, the spellcaster’s volatile nature can inflict damage on both his enemies and himself, if he’s not careful.*
If you’ve already played through the campaign in Warhammer Quest: Darkwater, these new heroes offer up a fresh challenge for another playthrough. If you’re still struggling to reclaim the Jade Abbey, Ashcross and her ragtag band bring a fresh range of skills to help you overcome the Maggotkin of Nurgle. For example, just take a look at what Caul’s customised bolts can do:

Customised Bolts
Pick 1 of the following effects to apply the next time this hero attacks using the attack profile above:
Armour-piercing Bolts: Subtract 1 from the target’s Defence characteristic for that attack.
Cluster Bolts: After making the attack roll, roll a dice for each enemy next to the target. On a 3+, inflict 1 damage on that enemy.
Swerving Bolts: The target of that attack does not have to be visible.
New heroes also means new equipment and rewards. Sticking with Durnan, the marksman can be equipped with a shadow-cursed bolt that can be fired through a line of enemies. Such sharpshooting deserves a reward, and the wayfarer’s greatcoat is not only stylish, but can help protect Durnan (or any hero that wears it) from incoming attacks.

The Agents of the Order Azyr expansion will be available to pre-order soon. While these new heroes make their way to the Jade Abbey, you should check out the rest of the reveals from the Big Autumn Preview.
* You might recognise these miniatures as being four of the new Warhammer Heroes. Yes, Safiya Ashcross is the mysterious secret model!
