A new Seraphon battletome is on the way, and with it an awesome new miniature.
Blessed Tetaxi, known as the Prophet of Tepok, is a skink with prophetic gifts. Riding atop the majestic flying titan Ma’toq, he seeks to prevent a great catastrophe.
Tetaxi has had his mind blasted by a series of cosmic secrets and terrible visions, the most foreboding of which insisted that a Great Fall was approaching that would alter the nature of reality forever. He’s represented by a jaw-dropping miniature – Tetaxi wears a headdress similar to a Starseer, while his huge flying reptile is reminiscent of the smaller Terradons. In his hand he carries the Stone of Tehemundi – said to be given to him by Tepok* – which he can use to project his visions into the minds of others.
We especially like the gap in the back of the chair so that the Skink’s tail can pass through – if you’re going to save the Mortal Realms from apocalypse, you might as well be comfortable while doing it.
As predicted by the Old Ones, Tetaxi will be accompanied by a new Seraphon battletome. It’s packed with lore and background on the merciless reptilian beings, inspirational artwork, and a miniatures showcase.
There are also new battle traits that see your army trying to Interpret the Great Plan, and be rewarded for doing so, and a pair of new Armies of Renown – including one built around Blessed Tetaxi.
Alongside the battletome comes a new Spearhead and Regiment of Renown. The Spearhead – Claws of Tepok – is based around a multitude of Skinks who are ready to aid Tetaxi in his plans. The boxed set includes a Skink Starseer, 12 Skinks, 3 Terradon Riders, and 3 Ripperdactyl Riders. If you’re looking for a fast-moving Spearhead force that makes plentiful use of Reinforcements, you’re in the right place.
The Horns of Quetzl Regiment of Renown is a great way to add a Stegadon Chief and a Stegadon to your Order- or Destruction-aligned army. Or maybe your Seraphon force needs a pair of scaled behemoths with which to launch an unstoppable stampede.
