Today, it’s the turn of the myriad xenos factions that populate the 41st Millennium to get their rules updates for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000. We’ve also got a full list of Detachment Point costs for all of their valid detachments below – check it out!
Detachments
Like yesterday’s release of the Space Marine Faction Packs, these updates lay out which detachments may be used by each faction until their full Codex is released. You get 2 DP in 1,000 point games and 3 DP at 2,000 points, and all of the Detachment Points costs will be in the Munitorum Field Manual.
We’ve also had a few people ask which detachments relate to which Force Dispositions, so we’ve included these here too, ahead of the launch of the Munitorum Field Manual. Rules Updates
As with this week’s other Faction Pack updates, these changes mostly concern themselves with tweaks needed to bring units and abilities in line with the 11th edition rules – notably with Aircraft, which all have their Movement and OC set to ‘–’, while some Vehicles, which could previously choose between Aircraft or Hover modes are now set as one or the other.
Each of the Faction Packs is intended to be a starting point for this edition’s updates, so make sure you check it carefully to see which abilities – like the T’au Empire’s For the Greater Good – have undergone some tweaks.
