#New40K – Da Trakk is Back

The venerable Ork Wartrakk is back at last in the Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon box, and we’re taking a look at the rules that come with it.

Much like the Land Speeder, which we looked at yesterday, the Wartrakk specialises in providing mobile fire support for your Ork army. Unleash your barrage of rokkits and then use your speed to keep out of trouble.*

As is typical for Ork firearms, the rokkit launcha has some seriously beefy stats behind it – enough to be an absolute terror to Terminators with 3 Damage, Strength 10 for that juicy 2+ to Wound, and enough AP to force rolls on their 4+ Invulnerable Save. All you have to do is hit them, and to that we say… well, you get a bunch of shots, don’t you? One of them’s bound to hit eventually.

Hitting is a big deal too, as the Indiscriminate Detonations of rokkits and shootas going off around your target is enough to keep their heads firmly down in the trenches. It’s hard to aim when death is mere inches away, and combined with the benefit of cover, a Space Marine will be hitting only as often as your average Ork Boy!**

More Wounds, better guns, and surprisingly bulky. What’s not to love about the new Wartrakk? Use it to give a nearby unit of Warbikers some heavy support*** or run it alone as a cheap harassment unit – either way, you’ll be hurling rockets with great enthusiasm.

From one barrel of firepower to another, we’re checking in with the new heavy bolter-toting Eradicators tomorrow, so make sure to come back if you like Space Marines and love watching xenos get shredded.

* Or to get into trouble – you know what Orks are like.

** Let's see how da beakies like it!
