Exodites have been part of Warhammer 40,000 lore for decades, and are finally appearing in miniature with Kill Team: Exodite.

These Aeldari were the first to abandon their kin prior to the fall, escaping through the Webway to settle on the maiden worlds of their people. These days you’ll find them riding around on awesome dragons*.

The new boxed set features a full kill team of three Aeldari Dragon Masters and two Drakolithes, as well as a host of invading Beast Snagga Boyz and Squighog Boyz NPOs for them to battle.

When hunting, the Exodite Dragon Masters operate as a ritual triad, making them a very small and elite kill team. Here’s a closer look at each one:

Clanblade

Fighting atop ferocious redmaw drakesteeds, Clanblades are close-quarters warriors who wield powered swords and axes. They excel at assessing and understanding the abilities of their prey, directing their fellow Exodites in battle before striking down the deadliest foes.

Stonesinger

These powerful psykers are able to contact the souls within a world spirit.** Riding venomcrest drakesteeds into battle, they unleash their powers to rupture enemy armour, flesh, and bone, or to heal their fellow Dragon Masters.

Leystalker

Leystalkers are master snipers, capable of firing with reflexive accuracy, and at speeds that would shock other marksmen. Together with their darkscale drakesteeds, they seek out the most advantageous positions from which to unleash devastating volleys of rifle fire.

Drakolithes

Accompanying the Dragon Masters are smaller, scaled beasts called Drakolithes. They chase down escaping targets, intercept outflanking enemies, and use their predatory skills to detect prey attempting to hide.

Exodite Dragon Knights

The Dragon Masters kit can alternatively be assembled as lance-armed Exodite Dragon Knights, who will have rules for Warhammer 40,000. We’ll have more on those rules soon, so stay tuned to Warhammer Community.

The miniatures will be available for the first time in the Kill Team: Exodite boxed set, where they will be seeking to defend their world from a brutal Ork invasion.

The dossier is a real treasure trove of Exodite lore, and includes a wealth of information about the culture, weapons, and beasts of these elusive Aeldari. It also contains a guide to building and painting terrain to create your own maiden world.

There are also 20 new Joint Ops missions that form a branching campaign, pitting the Dragon Masters against the Beast Snagga NPOs.

The new Kill Team box will be available for pre-order soon (we’ve waited this long for Exodites, surely we can all wait a little longer). We’ll have more on the Dragon Master kits when we’re a little nearer to their release – in the meantime, head back to the hub to see all of today’s big reveals.
