The war for Armageddon hangs in the balance, and you can help determine the fate of a vital hive city on Armageddon in a new Global Battle event.
Intense battles rage between Ghazghkull Thraka’s Ork Waaagh! and a vengeful host of Space Marines for control of the Hive Death Mire. The city’s position at the edge of Armageddon’s equatorial jungle – right in the middle of two main waves of Ork landings – means that it’s of strategic importance to both sides*.
Pre-order the Armageddon boxed set this Saturday and, when it arrives in addition to 61 brand-new miniatures, rules and card decks, you’ll also find an invitation to join The Siege of Death Mire.
Once the campaign begins on 22 June, you’ll have until 13 July to play games of Warhammer 40,000 using the new edition rules and submit your results online. Results from the battles sent in online will decide the fate of three vital locations within the city, with a fourth location decided by events in local Warhammer stores.
When the dust settles, Death Mire will stand or fall, and the outcome will live on in the lore of Warhammer 40,000 forever!
Each week, the winning side will be rewarded with reveals of new miniatures for their faction. At the end of the campaign, the victors will even unlock a new detachment to use in the game.
That’s not all – by taking part, you’ll also be entered into a draw to win one of 40 1,000-point armies of brand new Space Marines or Orks miniatures.**
This is a great way to get to grips with the new edition rules, and even more reason to get the contents of the Armageddon box built and painted straight away!
