The new edition of Warhammer 40,000 is very nearly here, and Warhammer World is joining in on the fun with a jaw-dropping new Armageddon-themed diorama.

Entitled ‘The Battle for Grendel’s Lock’, it depicts what was once the busiest port on Armageddon. Now in the hands of the invading Orks, it’s been turned into a sprawling Mek workshop. While the Space Marines launch their counterattacks as part of Operation Imperator, the Crimson Fists have begun a daring attack. Can they wrest the port back from the clutches of the Bad Moons?
Learn how the new diorama was put together with our exclusive behind-the-scenes video:
In typical Orky fashion, the diorama features a lot of parts looted from old dioramas. The finished battle scene contains parts from Warhammer World’s old Signus Prime display, the travelling Battle of Phall diorama, and Warhammer World’s Mining Facility gaming board. See what parts you can spot when you visit!
The diorama features over 400 Ork Boyz, a submarine, and even a squig shark! A swarm of Space Marine grav-tanks can be seen skimming over the waves, while a Thunderhawk duels with orky jets in the sky above.
You’ll also see an under-construction Stompa in the heart of the facility, if you’ve ever wanted to see the inside of one of these titanic Orky war machines.
The Battle for Grendel’s Lock diorama can be seen in the Warhammer World exhibition now, along with the Spires of the Gnaw, the Dropsite Massacre, and much more.
