Saturday Pre-orders – Chaos Space Marines and Marauders running wild

Chaos is rolling in, and if you can’t beat the Dark Gods, just join them. It’s easy, and if this week’s pre-orders are any indication, you get to hang out with some real style icons. It’s good to be bad!

Battleforce: Khorne Daemonkin

If you’re the kind of person who prefers to charge headfirst into danger and damn the consequences, then do we have a battleforce for you. The Khorne Daemonkin are all about spilling blood in bloody close combat, but don’t let their frothing madness fool you – they also have a plan.

Ok, the plan is collecting skulls for the Skull Throne. We didn’t say it was a deep one. This battleforce box contains:

  • A Lord on Juggernaut who can also be built as the Epic Hero character Lord Invocatus

  • A Master of Executions

  • Six mounted Bloodcrushers

  • 10 Khorne Berzerkers

  • 20 Bloodletters

  • A World Eaters transfer sheet containing 200 decals

Battleforce: Sekhmet Coven

Unlike the previous guys, the Sekhmet Coven are a thinking psyker’s warband, full of sorcerous power and complex plans. Tzeentch already knows what you want, and in his infinite wisdom has assembled a durable and powerful box containing:

  • An Infernal Master

  • Three Exalted Sorcerers

  • A Mutalith Vortex Beast

  • 10 Scarab Occult Terminators

  • Two Chaos Space Marines transfer sheets each holding 364 decals

Battleforce: Vile Vectorium

Most enemies can be beaten simply by outlasting them, and Nurgle is a master of diehard resilience. His themed battleforce, the Vile Vectorium, features some of the most durable units in the Death Guard roster, matching elite Terminators with a swarm of disposable Poxwalkers. It’s a chunky box that’ll weather a ton of enemy firepower, and contains:

  • Lord Felthius – a Lord of Contagion – and his Tainted Cohort of three Blightlord Terminators

  • Three Deathshroud Terminators

  • Three Foetid Bloat-drones

  • 20 Poxwalkers

Battleforce: Lords of Excess

Being a servant of Slaanesh is all about style and showing off your skills, so it’s lucky that the Lords of Excess feature a solid core of classic Emperor’s Children infantry to orbit your flashiest units. It’s all skins, studs, and leering faces. You can embrace excess with a collection of capable units including:

  • A monstrous Daemon Prince

  • 20 Infractors, which can alternately be built as Tormentors

  • 12 Noise Marines

  • Four Emperor’s Children transfer sheets, each containing 150 decals

Chaos Marauders

Storm down from the wild north of the World of Legend and put the Empire to the torch! Chaos Marauders form the bulk of the mortal warriors who flow into the civilised world from beyond the ice-capped mountains, and their destructive rampages lay waste to vast tracts of Imperial land. This box contains 20 plastic Marauders that can form a single large unit or two smaller groups – each with a champion, musician, and standard bearer. Each Marauder can be equipped with either a hand weapon and shield, a great weapon, or a flail, and the set comes with a Warriors of Chaos transfer sheet containing 246 decals.*

Chaos Marauder Horsemen

Many Marauders are practically born in the saddle, and display feats of agile horsemanship that put the trained Knights of the Empire to shame – trusting in speed and mobility over heavy armour. This set contains 10 plastic Chaos Marauder Horsemen that can be built as a single large unit or two groups of five, each with their own champion, musician, and standard bearer. Each lot of five has 13 different heads to choose from, and every Horseman can be equipped with either a hand weapon and shield or a flail.*

Cataphractii Terminators with Volkite Chargers and Power Mauls

The giant suits of Cataphractii-pattern armour worn by Legion veterans are among the finest personal protection in the Age of Darkness, matching extremely thick plating with powerful shield generators. This immense durability is paired with an armour-busting arsenal designed to take out the enemy’s best warriors, making them perfect for shock assaults and spearhead attacks.

These new Cataphractii Terminators are separated into two distinct configurations. The box contains six Terminators armed with volkite chargers and power mauls – both extremely effective against massed Tactical Squads and other power armour-wearing opponents. It also includes the option to equip one Terminator with a reaper autocannon, for heavier fire support.*

Cataphractii Terminators with Combi-bolters and Power Fists

The second set of Cataphractii Terminators outfits your six elites with a combi-bolter and a power fist, using its added weight and crackling power field to crush heavily armoured enemies and light vehicles with ease. One Terminator in this unit can replace their combi-bolter with a heavy flamer, in case you’re smashing through a bastion wall and need to clear the other side sharpish.*

Breacher Squad

When the dangers of close-quarters combat in boarding actions and siege assaults prove too costly even for Space Marines, the first waves may be equipped with heavy shields and massed into Breacher Squads. The added protection of a big slab of plasteel goes a long way towards keeping your warriors safe from the worst enemy firepower – perfect for those units taking objectives on the front lines.

This box contains 10 Space Marines in MkIII armour, each with an alternate helmet option, boltgun, and shield. You also get one graviton gun and one lascutter to upgrade your squad, and the option to build one model as a Sergeant with a wide assortment of weapons.*

Breacher Squad Upgrade Set

Turn your existing Tactical Squads – whether they’re wearing MkII, MkIII, or MkVI power armour – into Breacher Squads with a separate Upgrade Set. This frame is the same as the one found in the full Breacher Squad box, with enough shields, arms, and weapons to make a 10-man squad.*

Apostle

Legitur is a world devoted to the sacred writings of the Imperial Creed. Endlessly producing mountains of scripture, it considers itself an exemplar of piety. But there are deep secrets here – undreamt of by the ruling Ecclesiarchy, hidden amongst the shadows of the towering paper hives – and a being who was born of these secrets.

Cerastes, Dark Apostle of the Word Bearers, has returned to the world he once called home. Though his host has been crushed by the fearsome Palatine Aesura and her Sororitas of the Order of the Thorn, Cerastes’ dark ambition is undaunted. He will have his revenge. He will resurrect the Eightfold Bane. And he will convert the world he despises to the worship of Chaos. Legitur is about to receive the Word, and it will burn with the fires of revolution.

Apostle is a new novel by David Annandale, and is available for pre-order in hardback*, eBook, and MP3 audiobook editions.

Death of Integrity

Having tracked a Genestealer brood across the sector, Chapter Master Caedis of the Blood Drinkers calls upon his old allies in the Novamarines to assist with the destruction of the space hulk designated Death of Integrity. But before they can unleash their plasma torpedoes, the Adeptus Mechanicus intervene and task both Chapters with a secretive mission into the heart of the hulk. With deadly xenos creatures seemingly lurking around every corner, Caedis treads a fine line between glorious victory and the damnation of eternal bloodlust carried by all sons of Sanguinius.

The classic Space Marine Battles novel Death of Integrity by Guy Haley is now available to pre-order in a new MP3 audiobook edition.
