The Chaplain was one of the stars of the cinematic trailer for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 – a pure expression of righteous wrath and hate. Take a look at his new miniature.
This new miniature features some classic Chaplain wargear – the imposing skull helm, which marks this Space Marine out as a personification of death; the rosarius, which protects his physical form as his faith armours the soul; and the crozius arcanum, both a symbol of office and a brutally powerful weapon.*

Just as we saw him in the cinematic trailer, he is the ideal for a squad of the new Vanguard Veterans, adding a dash of fury (and +1 to wound) to their already formidable lethality. As well as the Ecclesiarchy-mandated quota of skulls, this chaplain is also bedecked in several litanies’ worth of purity seals, and like his colleagues on bike and on foot, he also carries a massive tome – we don’t know what’s inside those sacred pages, and frankly, we were too scared to ask.
He looks great as a Blood Angel – a Chapter renowned for its use of jump pack assaults – but the miniature has no Chapter-specific markings, meaning you can paint him to match any codex Chapter. He’ll be just as happy keeping pace with a Raven Guard strike force as he will landing the hammer blow of a Salamanders counter-attack.

We’ll be showing off something a little smaller from the Armageddon boxed set next Monday – make sure you’ve signed up for our Warhammer 40,000 newsletter to ensure you don’t miss it! We’re also getting very close to revealing ALL of the contents of the box, right here on Warhammer Community. Watch this space!
