The Big Summer Preview – Blood Bowl Big Guys and Fast Games

Greetings, sports fans! A Blood Bowl legend updated, new Sevens rules, and more – check out the highlights:

Morg ‘n’ Thorg

Morg ’n’ Thorg might be the most iconic Blood Bowl Star Player in history* – and soon he’ll be available in plastic for the first time. On the pitch, he’s an absolute juggernaut, able to trample opposing players into the astrogranite and smash apart well-constructed player cages. Emerging with the ball, he hands it to a teammate and then hurls them into the end zone.

Over his storied career, Morg ’n’ Thorg has played for pretty much every team going (apart from Undead ones – he’s just not a fan since a certain Khemrian Mummy tried to assassinate him).

To symbolise this, the new miniature has options allowing you to put him in one of three uniforms – Reikland Reavers (for his Imperial years), Gouged Eye (for his stint in the Badlands), or Chaos All-Stars (for the Chaos era, at the start of his career).

Minotaur

Add some serious hitting power to your Chaos Chosen, Chaos Dwarf, and Chaos Renegade teams with the new plastic Minotaur. With the Unchannelled Fury and Frenzy rules, they’re a living wrecking ball on the pitch. There’s a choice of heads, shoulder pads, and loincloths to fit in with the rest of your team, and optional mutations, including crab claws, a tentacle, and two different tails.

Rat Ogre

Skaven, Underworld Denizens, and Chaos Renegade teams are also getting a new plastic big guy, in the form of a Rat Ogre. With Movement Value 6 and Strength 5, they can catch and smash opponents, while Mighty Blow ensures they stay down. The kit has three heads and two (prehensile) tails, so you can live out your dreams as a Master Moulder.

Blood Bowl Sevens

Blood Bowl Sevens is the small-format game with a big impact. With only seven players per side, it’s faster, and every bit as  brutal as its big brother, making it ideal for lunchtime leagues or quick play at your gaming club. Spike! Journal includes the rules you need to play smaller-sided games, and the pitch is the perfect size for unleashing mini mayhem.

We’ll let you know soon when the transfer window opens for the new players, and when the Sevens season kicks off. In the meantime, catch up with all of the other big reveals from the Big Summer Preview.
