Three new Battlehost boxes are an ideal way to take your first foray into the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game. Will you join the forces of Rohan, Mirkwood, or Dol Guldur?

The new Battlehost boxed sets take inspiration from The Lord of The Rings™ movies and The Hobbit™ Motion Picture Trilogy – with two representing the forces of Good in the form of Rohan and Mirkwood, and Dol Guldur on the side of Evil. Each is packed with miniatures, making them the perfect starting point for a new collection, or for bolstering your existing forces.
Rohan™ Battlehost

Théoden rallies this Battlehost of brave Rohan warriors to war with the forces of Evil. The King himself can be fielded on foot or atop his noble steed, and is supported by six peerless Riders of Rohan and 24 Warriors of Rohan. The cavalry are fast and hit hard, while the flexible warriors on foot can take on any foe with their mix of spears, bows, and hand weapons.
Mirkwood™ Battlehost

Protect the Woodland Realm with Legolas, captain of the King’s Guard, and the respected warrior Tauriel as they lead the Elvenking’s armies in battle. They are accompanied by 20 heavily armoured Palace Guards – skilled Elven warriors who excel in melee – and 20 stealthy Mirkwood Rangers, who rain down volleys of arrows upon their enemies.
Dol Guldur™ Battlehost

Bring death to all with this Battlehost of Orcs, led by the savage and ruthless Bolg. The Spawn of Azog can be fielded on foot or mounted on his snarling Fell Warg, and he commands six more Fell Wargs ridden by Hunter Orcs, and 24 brutal Hunter Orcs on foot. Where the Rohan force relies on skill, and the Mirkwood one on stealth, these Orcs rely on savagery, hacking through foes with an array of crude, but effective, weaponry.
The Battlehosts will be available to pre-order soon, and alongside them will be free rules downloads for each, and an updated Quickstart Rules Guide. These make for an ideal way for you or your friends to dip their toes into the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game and start replaying some of your favourite scenes from the movies on the tabletop.
