Our Scourge of Aqshy series continues with free Warhammer Age of Sigmar rules for Flesh-eater Courts, Nighthaunt, Ossiarch Bonereapers, and Soulblight Gravelords.

Each faction gets new enhancements and warscrolls to open up different ways to play during the 2026-27 season.
Flesh-eater Courts

The deluded followers of Ushoran can delve into The Royal Treasury for new Artefacts of Power. The Fool’s Cap is a stylish way to use the new rage and fury mechanics from the General’s Handbook to draw your enemy away from a more important unit.

THE ROYAL TREASURY
Any Movement Phase
FOOL’S CAP
This warrior has manipulated the bones of a Mancrusher Gargant’s skeletal hand into the shape of a jester’s hat. Prancing about with it on their head ensures they acquire an audience…
Declare: Pick a visible enemy unit within 12" of this unit to be the target.
Effect: Spend 1 rage dice. If your opponent’s fury level is lower than yours, they must increase their fury level by 1, to a maximum of 7.
Then, for the rest of the turn:
Add 1 to charge rolls for the target.
Each time the target uses a CHARGE ability, if possible, it must end the charge move within 1/2" of this unit.
While the target is in combat with this unit, subtract 1 from hit rolls for the target’s combat attacks that do not target this unit.
Alternatively, a Hero unit can unfurl the Flayed Flags to prevent an enemy from using the Fight Through the Pain ability, or unleash the Ring of Nightmarish Visions to inflict mortal damage on the enemy. You’ll also find new rules for the Royal Decapitator and Varghulf Courtier, along with Noble Pursuits enhancements.
Nighthaunt

As your bitter, ethereal spirits float through the Realm of Fire, the enhancement Vociferous Defamers allows them to assimilate arcane power and syphon it to your Wizards to help them when they cast spells. If you’re fighting an enemy Wizard or Priest, your support becomes twice as good.

CRIMES OF THE CONDEMNED
Passive
VOCIFEROUS DEFAMERS
These wretches denied the Great Necromancer’s arcane might; as punishment, they are beholden to Nagash’s mages.
Effect: Add 1 to casting rolls for friendly NIGHTHAUNT WIZARDS while they are wholly within 12" of and visible to this unit. Add 2 to casting rolls instead if this unit is also in combat with an enemy WIZARD or PRIEST.
It can be given to any non-Hero Infantry or Cavalry unit – put it on your Dreadblade Harrows and head out to hunt wizards and priests. The Black Coach retains its rules from the Scourge of Ghyran, while your Spirit Hosts get new abilities, and there are Relics of the Underworlds artefacts.
Ossiarch Bonereapers

The heat of Aqshy is known to bleach bones, and the shimmering haze only helps Mortis Reapers slip into your opponent’s lines. Any enemy Hero that finds themselves without any nearby support quickly becomes prey for these stealthy assassins.

MORTIS REAPERS
Once Per Turn (Army), Any Charge Phase
TERMINATE THEIR COMMAND
Creeping unseen through the enemy ranks, the Mortis Reapers quickly close in on their real target.
Declare: If this unit is in combat, pick a visible enemy HERO within 12" of this unit to be the target.
Effect: If the target is more than 3" from all other enemy units, apply the effect below. Otherwise, roll a dice. On a 3+, apply the effect below.
Remove this unit from the battlefield and set it up again within 1" of the target.
Vokmortian, Master of the Bone-Tithe, gets some new rules, and you can also deploy Mortisan Refinements enhancements and Relics of the Empire artefacts, which include Banner of Old Ossia, Scarabean Cloak, or Soulweb Gem, the later of which lets you bring back a destroyed Hero.*
Soulblight Gravelords

Many are the folk tales told throughout the Mortal Realms, and it’s said that Soulblight Gravelords are the inspiration for such macabre stories. Grant an Origin of Terrifying Folk Tales to a non-Hero Infantry unit, such as The Empty Graveyard, which lets you surprise your foe with the sudden arrival of your troops.

ORIGINS OF TERRIFYING FOLK TALES
Deployment Phase
THE EMPTY GRAVEYARD
Folks tell of a cemetery where the day after a mass funeral, each newly filled burial plot was found empty, with footprints leading away from them into the wilds…
Effect: Remove this unit from the battlefield and set it up again more than 9" from all enemy units and either
wholly within 7" of a terrain feature or wholly within 7" of the battlefield edge. This unit cannot use MOVE abilities in the first turn of the first battle round.
Other folk tales include the seemingly unstoppable Never-Dead and The Incarnadine Killers, said to be filled with an insatiable blood lust, who can seemingly close the distance to their enemies in next to no time. You can also choose from The Cursed Bloodlines heroic traits and unleash a new Revenant Draconith and Vengorian Lord.
That’s just a taste of what awaits you in the free Scourge of Aqshy downloads. Get yours now, and join us tomorrow when we round the week off with the forces of Destruction.
* Nagash clearly still has plans for them.
