A new season of war is upon us! The General’s Handbook 2026-27 is now available for pre-order – and to celebrate, we’re launching the Scourge of Aqshy, providing you with a whole heap of new rules to use for the next year of Matched Play.

Over the course of this week, we’ll have free downloads for each Warhammer Age of Sigmar faction. These will consist of variant warscrolls, and some combination of artefacts, heroic traits, enhancements, spell lores, or prayer lores.
These new rules replace the existing Scourge of Ghyran ones, but don’t worry – you might notice that a few fan-favourite warscrolls have made their way from the Realm of Life to the Realm of Fire. They will be available to download here on Warhammer Community and are going to be added to the Warhammer Age of Sigmar App soon.

As with last year’s Scourge of Ghyran, when putting together your army roster you’ll need to decide between the new Scourge of Aqshy warscroll for that unit or its existing one – you can’t pick both in the same army! All the Scourge of Aqshy rules will be Matched Play legal for the duration of the 2026-27 season, so you’ll have plenty of time to decide your favourites. Some of the rules play with the new fury and rage mechanics, while others reflect how armies fight in the Realm of Fire.
Come back tomorrow when we’ll be sharing your first Scourge of Aqshy updates. We’re kicking off with the forces of Order, so check in to see what goodies the Cities of Sigmar, Daughters of Khaine, Fyreslayers, Idoneth Deepkin, Kharadron Overlords, Lumineth Realm-lords, Seraphon, Stormcast Eternals, and Sylvaneth are getting!
