Ogor Mawtribes Army Set

First up is the new Ogor Mawtribes Army Set, which is a veritable feast of new miniatures. It’s the first place you can get the new Tyrant, Gluttons, Ironguts, and Maulbeast Cavalry, and it also includes a set of warscroll cards and a special edition of the battletome.

Let’s take a closer look at those miniatures…

Tyrant

Tyrants lead Ogor armies into battle, and they are only too happy to prove the adage, ‘might makes right’. Not only do they need to constantly prove they are bludgeoningly violent, but they are also expected to ensure a regular supply of meat and loot for their warglutt.

The new kit comes with a selection of heads, cleavers, hammers, back banners, and more, making it easy to customise your ferocious warleader.

Gluttons

Gluttons are hulking, muscle-bound brutes that form the core of many mawtribes. Thundering into battle like a landslide of flesh, they take great bites out of foes as they bash and hack with their crude weapons. In game, they are an unsubtle unit – point them at your enemy and smash through enemy lines.

The kit is packed with cosmetic options, including clubs, ironfists, and swords almost the length of a regular human. As you build up your wall of meat, you can ensure that no two units look the same.

Ironguts

When an ogor has acquired respect, bulk, and a reputation for intestinal fortitude, their Tyrant may grant them the right to call themselves an Irongut. These are the elite warriors of the warglutt, acting as bodyguards and enforcers for the tribe’s toughest leaders.

These updated miniatures are full of characterful details, such as the scars across the bodies of the Ironguts, showing they’ve constantly been in the thickest of fighting.

Maulbeast Cavalry

Maulbeasts are slavering creatures from the far-lands. They are ridden into battle by veteran warriors, and fit in well with the Ogor Mawtribes as they are also constantly hungry. It is said that the best way to secure the loyalty of a Maulbeast is to wrestle it to the ground and hold its jaws closed for however long it takes for it to submit – or until it escapes and eats the attempted rider!

The Maulbeast Cavalry can alternatively be built as Maulbeast Raiders. These relentless hunters track their prey, wearing them down at range with crossbows before charging in to finish them off.

But that’s not all!

Redd the Maw – High Slaughtermaster

To the ogors, Redd the Maw is a prophet of their monstrous god. To outsiders, he is a blood-caked avatar of primaeval terror. To ogor fans and players, he’s a stunning centrepiece kit.

This brutal wizard claims to have seen the Gulping God, a fact that inspires those around him. Accompanied by a pair of Mawseeker acolytes and a Gorger to pull his strangely etched cauldron, Redd can smash his way through enemy lines while also flinging spells from the Lore of Gut Magic.

Butcher

Following in the wake of Redd the Maw come the Butchers. These blood-smeared shamans channel the gastromantic magic of their deity as they wander the Mortal Realms in search of meat for their pot. Speaking of which, just take a look inside and tell us whether you’re still feeling hungry.

Cleavers

Finally (for now), we have the Cleavers. This elite infantry unit can smash its way through any enemy lines and have an arcane appetite, making them especially good at carving up wizards and priests – the ideal ingredients for the meat-masters’ pots.

The kit can alternatively be built as Gutseers – warriors who march to battle belching aether-disrupting chants. They are conduits of gut magic, capable of supporting the wizards in your army thanks to their faith and grisly acts of divination.

Ogor Mawtribes Battletome

The Ogor Mawtribes battletome will also be available outside of the army box, alongside a smaller-format gamer’s edition, which comes with warscroll cards.

Whichever version of the battletome you get, it’s packed with lore that delves further into the background of the ogors and their deity, artwork, and inspirational miniatures photography. It also contains rules for lots of new units, including a whole new subset of the Ogor Mawtribes race, known as Mawseekers, who are led by Redd the Maw.

We’ll have even more (even maw?) new ogor units to show you soon – in fact, you may just get a little tease of one if you go back and re-watch the video.
