Pages from the Black Books – The Xana Incursion

In the latest of our ongoing series of Horus Heresy lore excerpts from the legendary Black Books, we turn to the isolated Forge World of Xana on the galaxy’s western rim.

Xana was a highly regarded and efficient Forge World that stood at the very edge of human expansion, looking out over the void between galaxies. Its stocks of munitions and wargear were plentiful, but despite all their pleas, bargains, and threats, neither Loyalist nor Traitor could secure the allegiance of its powerful magos. For all they offered, Xana remained neutral. Until one day, it didn’t.

Today’s lore comes from 2016’s Horus Heresy Book Six: Retribution, and sports some fascinating twists and turns as everyone tries to get a piece of Xana’s powerful stockpiles. The Dark Angels even turn up with a Dark Age relic, and Blackshield legend Endryd Haar shows why he’s so feared by the Traitors.
