Originally found in The Horus Heresy: Book 5: Tempest – first published in 2015 – this classic “Black Books” lore takes us from the earliest battles of the XIII Legion at the end of the Unification Wars through to the discovery of Roboute Guilliman and the creation of Ultramar. There are details of the Legion’s exemplary battles, a look at how they’re organised, and artwork showing off the Ultramarines’ heraldry.
