‘Eavy Metal takes on red and orange Warhammer Tone Pro paints

We’re spending this week showing off some ’Eavy Metal-painted miniatures using the new Warhammer Tone Pro paints, ahead of their pre-order this weekend. Today we’re looking at red and orange, to give you some inspiration when you get your hands on the paints yourself.

Fuegan

The armour of the Burning Lance was painted with Chotec Orange 4 and highlighted with Megaboss Yellow 1 & 2 – showing that you can use tones outside of the 1-5 run of a colour to give you even more options.

The helmet was painted with Bloodtoof Red 3, and the energy flashes on his weapons are Magnus the Red 5. The segmented parts of Fuegan’s armour are painted with Carmine Blades 4, and the black was highlighted with Craventhorne Cloak 3 & 4.

Blood Angels Intercessor

The Intercessor is painted with Bloodtoof Red, basecoated with 3 and highlighted with 4 & 5.

Celestial Warbringers Liberator

The Liberator was basecoated with Magnus the Red 2, and then highlighted with 3, 4, & 5, and shaded with 1 – demonstrating the range of tones.

The metal was painted with the Iron Hands Steel Warhammer Colour paint and then shaded with Seraphon Blue mixed with the Shading Medium.

The full range of Warhammer Tone Pro paints are available to pre-order from Saturday. Come back tomorrow when we’ll be looking at some yellow miniatures.

In the meantime, you can see how the contestants on Ultimate Paint-off used them on Warhammer TV.
