Sunday Preview – Warhammer Tone Pro

The Warhammer Tone Pro range was one of the most exciting reveals from the Big Autumn Preview, and now it’s almost time for you to get your hands on the new paints.

Warhammer Tone Pro

The Tone Pro range introduces 30 brand new colours each split into five different tones, which are simple to navigate. Want to up your game painting Ultramarines power armour? Just work your way from Ultramar Blue 1 (the darkest) to Ultramar Blue 5 (the lightest).

They’re not just new colours either, as the new paint formulation gives you astonishing results straight from the pot, and you can glaze, shade, highlight, basecoat, and drybrush all with a single paint.

Intense, vivid colours are the hallmarks of the Tone Pro range, with even notoriously difficult yellows and whites offering great coverage from the first coat. Paint them onto the miniature straight from the pot, and the self-levelling properties will give a smooth finish.

Don’t take our word for it though – community painters from Ninj0n to Albert Moreto Font have been trying out the new Tone Pro range, and they’re just as giddy as we are.

Along with the 150 new paints, a pair of mediums open up a wealth of additional options. The Shading Medium reduces the pigment density without altering the flow and finish properties, meaning you can use any Tone Pro paint as a shade or for glazing. The Blending Medium increases the drying time of your paints, making it easy to blend them together.

When you’re ready to give the Tone Pro range a try, you can also pick up a new set of dry brushes designed to work especially well with the paints – with curved tips and tight bristles, it’s easier than ever to get paint where you want it and not all over your precious miniature.

Don’t forget, you can try the new paints for yourself right now in thousands of Warhammer Stores and independent hobby stores around the world.
