Writing Mad Doks and ace pilots – Warhammer TV meets Denny Flowers

On Warhammer TV this week, prolific Black Library author Denny Flowers talks Orks, Imperials, and aeroplanes, while T’au Empire and Chaos clash in Battle Report and Armies of Renown digs into an incredible Aeldari collection. Then, don’t miss the third and final instalment of Aeronautica Imperialis this Friday!

Live Now: Scribes and Scriveners – Denny Flowers

Sit down with Denny Flowers, the inimitable author of Grotsnik: Da Mad Dok, Above and Beyond, and many more Black Library stories, in this week’s Scribes and Scriveners. Alex finds out how Denny first got into writing Warhammer stories, what motivates him to put pen to paper, and what advice he has for other budding authors looking to make their big Black Library break.

Denny has written dozens of Warhammer stories, making his full debut with Necromunda tale Fire Made Flesh and going on to cover the Orks and Astra Militarum extensively with Ghazghkull Thraka: Warlord of Warlords, Da Gobbo’s Demise, Outgunned, and a wealth of short stories.*

Live Tomorrow: Battle Report – T'au Empire vs Chaos Space Marines

The advanced technology of the T’au Empire takes on the unrestrained fury of the Chaos Space Marines in this week’s Battle Report. Two members of the Warhammer Studio assume command of the forces, showing off what these factions can do in the new edition. With Abaddon the Despoiler himself taking to the field, and the secretive Cypher waiting in the wings, do Shadowsun, the Twin Lance, and the rest of the T’au Empire force have any hope of besting the Chaos horde?

Live on Thursday: Armies of Renown – Eldrad's Exiles

What does an army painted by one of the artists who actually designs Warhammer miniatures look like? Warhammer Studio powerhouse Daz guests on Armies of Renown to show his Aeldari army of Eldrad Ulthran-aligned exiles. Presenter Ed chats with him about what inspired the collection, including artwork, lore, and miniatures, why he loves the Aeldari, and how he manages to keep motivated with a multi-year project. For anyone thinking about starting a new project, Daz also talks about choosing a paint scheme, colour theory, and how to know when to stop painting so you can actually get units finished!

You can watch Scribes and Scriveners right now on Warhammer TV, while Battle Report comes out on Wednesday and Armies of Renown lands this Thursday. Finally, the third exciting episode of Aeronautica Imperialis thunders down from the clouds on Friday, and we’ll have more information about the duel between death-defying Imperial and Aeldari pilots in a couple of days.
