Four Lords of the End Times join Total War: Warhammer III

The End Times have come to Total War: Warhammer III, and four Legendary Lords will rise to the challenge in the largest DLC ever released for the series. Thanquol, take it away, yes-yes!

Boris Todbringer, Grey Seer Thanquol, the Glottkin, and the mighty Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead join the roster of Legendary Lords on 24 September, alongside a vast array of new units, new scenarios, gameplay updates, and revised victory conditions for many of the game’s Lords.

And, for the first time in series history, purchasing the Lords of the End Times DLC – either a singular character or the whole bundle at once – will grant you immediate access to the epic, world-spanning Immortal Empires game mode without the need to own any prior Total War: Warhammer game. If you’ve been looking for a way to try it out, or entice a friend, this is it.

Each of the four new Legendary Lords comes with new units for their factions, like the vicious Verminlords or the devastating Celestial Hurricanum, and as with recent DLCs, they can be bought individually or you can save money by grabbing the full bundle. Across the complete DLC, you’ll get:

4 Legendary Lords
8 Legendary Heroes
5 Lords & Heroes
23 Battle Units
12 Regiments of Renown
All new gameplay mechanics, features, and objectives

That already makes it the single biggest update in series history, but a huge free content drop will also shake up the game at the same time, headlined by a fifth, free Legendary Lord: Neferata, the Vampire Queen.*

Neferata joins the battle ahead of a significant rework for the Vampire Counts faction, which updates many of their core gameplay mechanics to revitalise the dark lords of Sylvania.

Appropriately for an End Times-themed update, Archaon the Everchosen also gets a major makeover to expand his campaign mechanics, while new Chaos Invasion, Vermintide, and Nagash Rises endgame challenges bring the madness of the End Times to your doorstep even if you’re not following any of the new Lords.

The End Times may be nigh, but Total War: WARHAMMER’s journey is not yet over…
