We’ve got a free Battle March scenario for Warhammer: The Old World today that sees two armies try to claim control of an abandoned tower. But be careful, who knows what lurks inside such buildings…

Dozens of ruined towers and watch posts litter the Axe Bite Pass, which have become valuable resting places for roving bands of scouts and merciless mountain raiders. Two armies meet, with both trying to secure the safety and shelter of the tower for their own troops – but unfortunately for them, it’s not as empty as it looks.
All manner of things could be lurking inside the tower, waiting for some unwitting soul to come and rap on the door. When your first unit goes to occupy it, you’ll have to roll to find out what’s inside, and while it could just be a jabbering swarm of Snotlings, it might also be a very hungry Ogre.*

The top result will find you in a battle of wits against a Dubious Wizard, who elects to challenge your unit with a perplexing riddle rather than violence. Now, the rules say you should take a Leadership test to see if your warriors pass, but if you want to have your opponent come up with a riddle of their own to test you, that would be pretty cool too.
Occupying the tower at the end of the battle gives you a whopping 100 bonus victory points, so make sure you’re the one telling skeletons, Goblins, and Dwarfs to get off your lawn once the dust settles.

With a maximum of 750 points a side, you should have the mission wrapped up in double-quick time. Enough time, in fact, to switch sides and play another game!
If this looks like a boatload of fun and you want to kickstart your own Warhammer: The Old World collection, check out the five Battle March boxes going up for pre-order on Saturday. You’ll also find muster lists for these five armies as well as the Reclaim The Tower scenario on the downloads page right now.
* Is there any other type of Ogre?
