Sunday Preview – The Divine Prince returns to Necromunda

Bow before your rightful master, residents of Hive Primus, as the honoured and most glorious Ozostium Aranthus walks among his Necromundan flock once more and the reins of power are surely best held in his capable hands. Surely nobody would be foolish enough to oppose his rule…

While that’s all kicking off, heavy armour comes to Legions Imperialis as the mighty Saturnine Terminators make their epic-scale debut alongside all sorts of new siege-focused units.

Ozostium Aranthus, the Divine Prince

Hailing from a time before the Imperium itself, the mysterious giant known as Ozostium Aranthus has emerged from the vaults of Temenos with one goal – the complete domination of Necromunda, which he deems rightfully his. Gangs aligned with his new order can petition Aranthus for aid in their time of need, and this new plastic miniature perfectly captures his oppressive presence on the tabletop.

Aranthus can activate twice per turn and is among the deadliest characters in Necromunda, with martial skills and psychic abilities far in excess of regular humans. This incredible miniature can be built with or without his chest plate and mask, to show the ruined and emaciated flesh underneath, and comes with a separate Caryatid-servitor model to unnerve his opponents.

Rules for Ozostium Aranthus can be found in The Aranthian Succession: Spire of Primus.

The Aranthian Succession: Spire of Primus

Witness the final chapter of the sprawling Aranthian Succession narrative in Spire of Primus, as the most beneficent and wonderful Ozostium Aranthus takes his well deserved place atop the throne of Necromunda – with gangs across the planet scrambling to take advantage of the new normal. Oddly, not everyone agrees with his usurpation of the Imperial House, and Lady Haera Helmawr still has a bone to pick with the returned prince.

This 128-page book contains extensive background lore wrapping up the Aranthian Succession story, seven new narrative scenarios, and rules for a Reconquest of Primus Campaign that tracks Lady Haera’s quest to reclaim her father’s seat of power. It also includes full rules for creating Aranthian-aligned gangs, Justicar Courts, and Palanite Justicar Delegations.

Palanite Justicars

Palanite Justicars are tasked with hunting down rogue nobles and other miscreants whose privileged bloodlines afford them a little more than the sole of an Enforcer’s boot – but only a little. Law-abiding gangs can petition for the aid of this new plastic Palanite Justicar Delegation, consisting of a Magistrate, an Executioner, and three Bailiffs with various head and weapon options including shotguns, heavy clubs, and fulmen-pattern man catchers.

Rules for these miniatures can be found in The Aranthian Succession: Spire of Primus.

All of the parts included are compatible with both the Palanite Enforcer Patrol and the Palanite Enforcer Captains and Sergeants set, so you can upgrade your existing gang or plan out a whole new one with loads more options than before.

Ironhead Squat Charter Masters and Drill Masters

The Ironhead Squat Prospectors are highly skilled and hardy people, whose exceptional mastery of their fields comes in mighty handy on dangerous expeditions. Bring their hard-earned expertise into Necromunda with a new pack of Charter Masters and Drill Masters, containing two Exo Masters, two Charter Masters, two Drill Masters, and two Techmite Autoveyors – autonomous companions that use powerful sensor suites to sniff out valuable seams of ore.

Each model is a single-pose plastic miniature, with three head options for the Drill Masters and two for the Exo Masters. Rules for these miniatures are found in Halls of the Ancients.

Underhive Hangers-on

The underhives of Necromunda swarm with all kinds of useful weirdos with specialist skill sets, ready to ply their trade for the nearest gang with some spare cash to their name. Collectively known as Hangers-on, they can be anything from mercenary killers and information brokers to ammo-bearers and questionably effective doctors, and it’s a rare gang that shuns their services outright.

This new set of plastic Hangers-on includes a Slopper, an Ammo-Jack, a Hive Watcher, a Dome Runner, and a Rogue Doc with their attendant medi skull. The Rogue Doc comes with a choice of two head options.

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis: Journal Strategia – The Ruin of the Salamanders

The Dropsite Massacre was – to put it lightly – unkind to the Salamanders, and their tragedy was merely one part of the greatest betrayal Humanity had faced in millennia. The catastrophic battle fought over the black sands of Isstvan V is the focus of a new supplement for Legions Imperialis, The Ruin of the Salamanders, which allows players to play out the infamous events of the Dropsite Massacre with new missions, new Formations, and Detachments, and extensive background lore accompanying the action.

This 48-page softback book is an essential companion for those looking to field new units equipped with Vulkan’s revitalised Saturnine technology – and for anyone who wants to see how the outset of the Horus Heresy could have changed if the Loyalists pulled out a win.

Saturnine Battle Group

The new stars of the Horus Heresy join Legions Imperialis in force, with powerful squads of Saturnine Terminators stomping into action and towering Saturnine Dreadnoughts laying down devastating volleys as they lumber forward through storms of fire.

The Saturnine Battle Group is the ultimate expression of Legiones Astartes dominance, bringing together eight Saturnine Dreadnoughts, 12 bases of Saturnine Terminators, four Saturnine Terminator Command Squads, eight Araknae platforms, eight Vindicator tanks, two Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports, and two Fire Raptor gunships. Just try to muscle your way past that.

This set is available while stocks last.

Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre

If you want even more heavily armoured goodness, the new Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre contains six Saturnine Terminator bases, two Saturnine Command Squad bases, and four Saturnine Dreadnoughts – accompanied by a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet containing 1,130 decals.

Rules for these miniatures will be found in Journal Strategia – The Ruin of the Salamanders.

Araknae Weapons Platform Batteries

Defending your territory shouldn’t be hard, and it isn’t when you have Araknae platforms watching your back. This new set of eight Araknae platforms comes with a variety of weapon options – some seen for the very first time – allowing you to build up to four platforms with quad accelerator autocannons, up to four with twin punisher cannons, and up to two with Orias heavy frag missile batteries.

This set also comes with a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet containing 1,130 transfers, and rules for Araknae platforms can be found in Journal Strategia – The Ruin of the Salamanders.

Falchion Super-heavy Tanks

Bring the overwhelming power of the neutron wave cannon to the battlefields of Legions Imperialis with a pack of two Falchion super-heavy tanks, dedicated armour-killers that can even take on Titans when fielded in sufficient numbers. If you’d rather eradicate scores of little things than one big thing, you can instead build these tanks as the all-new Ascalon variant, which packs a Titan-grade inferno gun onto its massive chassis so you can torch entire quadrants with gouts of super-hot flame.

Each set of two plastic tanks comes with a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet containing 1,130 transfers.

Fellblade Super-heavy Tanks

They’re not the only super-heavy tanks joining the Legiones Astartes roster, as the iconic Fellbade rumbles into view with its enormous twin accelerator cannon punching holes in vehicles with impunity. You can also build either tank in this set as a Glaive, mounting a searing volkite carronade that butchers entire formations of infantry without so much as a pause.

Each set of two plastic tanks comes with a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet containing 1,130 transfers.
