Sunday Preview – Helsmiths of Hashut and Necromunda Enforcers

The signs have long been there for those keen enough to see, rumblings in the dark and artefacts of unique provenance heralding the arrival of the Helsmiths of Hashut. Now they leave their ziggurats with only one thought in their minds: total domination. With an army set that doubles as a complete Spearhead force, the Zharrdron are on the move. Alongside them come two other eagerly awaited Spearhead forces, while a precinct-fortress worth of aggressively authoritarian law officers get their dispatch call on Necromunda.

Helsmiths of Hashut Army Set

The Mortal Realms quake as the Helsmiths of Hashut march forth to dominate all who stand against the Bullfather. With the technology to extract daemons from the Realm of Chaos and turn them into baleful weapons, these tyrannical duardin desire nothing less than total control of everything they see, and will raze entire continents to achieve primacy.

Containing 14 brand-new miniatures and available only while stocks last, the Helsmiths of Hashut army set can be used right out of the box as the Helforge Host Spearhead. You get a War Despot – lord of the ziggurat’s royal clans, a unit of 10 Infernal Cohort with Hashutite Spears accompanied by a hobgrot gong carrier, and two daemonfire-powered war machines.

The Dominator Engine is a walking effigy of Hashut, armed with immolation cannons to incinerate enemies with chaotic flames. The Tormentor Bombard pummels foes from afar with shells imbued with ruinous energy. The Infernal Cohort, Dominator Engine, and Tormentor Bombard all have alternate builds, but to play the Spearhead you’ll want to match the listed contents.

The box includes a special edition of Battletome: Helsmiths of Hashut with a unique full-art cover and gold foil text. This 90-page book contains heaps of lore and background information about the Helsmiths, including their origin, society, hierarchy, and the deadly craft practised by the Daemonsmiths. It is supported by gorgeous new art and photography of studio-painted miniatures. It also contains the rules you’ll need to use your miniatures in games of Age of Sigmar.

Completing the set is a Helsmiths of Hashut transfer sheet comprising 450 transfers, and a pack of 32 warscroll cards that cover all of the key faction rules, your Regiments and Armies of Renown rules, Spearhead rules, and all 16 unit warscrolls.

Spearhead: Deathrattle Tomb Host

The undead warriors of the Barrow Kingdoms overwhelm enemies in a tide of tarnished metal and bleached bone, their mighty Wight Kings having pledged eternal loyalty to the Soulblight vampires. The Deathrattle Tomb Host is a martial force comprising two units of 10 Deathrattle Skeletons, 10 elite Barrow Guard, and five Barrow Knights, led by a venerable Wight King who can empower his followers in combat.

Spearhead: Snarlpack Huntaz

The Gitmobs chase the bully they call the Glareface Frazzlegit all across the Mortal Realms, soaking up its energy with enchanted metal weapons. The Snarlpack Huntaz favour haste over combat prowess, a Snarlboss and his Wolfgit Retinue hurtling into battle alongside two units of three Snarlpack Cavalry and two rickety but effective Sunsteala Wheelas.

Bastions of Law

Every hive on Necromunda is a nest of criminals and outlaws, violent gangs, and scheming bounty hunters all looking to earn a living. Only the Palanite Enforcers can hope to establish a semblance of order, but they do so through brutal means in their capacity as Lord Helmawr’s personal army.

Bastions of Law is a 128-page supplement for Necromunda, the equivalent of a House of… book for the Palanite Enforcers. It covers their background, and contains updated rules for Palanite Enforcer patrols including weapons and Wargear, Hired Guns, Hangers-on, Dramatis Personae, Palanite Drill Skills, and Enforcer Prefectures. There are also two new scenarios, and separate rules to create Badzone Enforcer gangs. You’ll need a copy of the Necromunda rulebook to use this book, and it will be available to pre-order in hardback and ePub formats.

Palanite Enforcer Captains & Sergeants

The grizzled veterans of the Palanite Enforcers have endured many long years of service to Lord Helmawr, practicing crowd dispersion and suppression within the war-torn innards of Hive Primus. Patrols are led by a Palanite Enforcer Captain who will utilise any means to ensure the wheels of industry continue to turn.

They delegate a portion of their duties to Sergeants, including specialists like the Subjugator Sergeant, who have proven their value time and time again in violent stronghold sieges. This pack contains eight miniatures – two Captains, two Sergeants, two Subjugator Sergeants, and two Hardcase Cyber-mastiffs, plus an Enforcer Patrol transfer sheet comprising 220 transfers.

Palanite Enforcer Weapons and Upgrades

Each Precinct-Fortress has an armoury stocked with weapons for use in the never-ending war on lawlessness. There are two frames in this box, and each contains five heads, two shock batons, two assault shields, two power knives, two autopistols, two necks, two shield hands, a flamer, a set of magnacles, a web gun, a concussion carbine, an autogun, a sniper rifle, and 10 left and right arms. These weapons are compatible with the Palanite Enforcer Patrol and the Palanite Enforcer Captains and Sergeants kits, but they are not designed for use with the Subjugator Patrol.

Palanite Enforcer Haunts

Crime on Necromunda never sleeps, and the lawbreakers here are often powerful beyond the means of regular Enforcers. In extreme circumstances, the precincts unleash their Haunts, the most stable of Lord Helmawr’s psykers, indoctrinated and locked in suits of psycho-reactive armour. There are two broad types: psyrenders use their gifts to control and manipulate foes, while the bonecrushers live up to their name with telekinetic powers. This kit contains two Forge World resin miniatures.

Palanite Companions

Palanite Companions are the elite of the Enforcers, brainwashed zealots who enlisted as bodyguards to the nobles of the Imperial House. They are afforded the rarest of weapons when undertaking this task, armed with deadly disintegration guns taken straight from the private armouries of the Imperial House. This kit contains two Forge World resin miniatures.

Ashwing Helamites

The Ash Waste Nomads live an austere life out on the dusty plains of Necromunda, scavenging and living off the land. Their affinity for the wilds has led them to domesticate a range of macro-insects, including the winged Ashwing Helamites. This set contains two plastic Ashwing Helamites, which can be built on scenic bases or on flying stands, an Ashwing Lure, and an alternative head and backpack to mark out a regular Nomad as their handler.

Bastions of Law Tactics Cards and Dice Set

Lay down the law with this Bastions of Law Tactics card pack, which contains 18 Palanite Enforcer Gang Tactics cards, six blank Fighter cards, and two blank Vehicle cards. A set of dice will complete your collections, containing eight black pearlised dice with yellow ink pips in the standard Necromunda configuration: three standard dice, two injury dice, two firepower dice, and a scatter dice.

Made to Order: Space Wolves

Classic sons of Russ are returning for a short time only. There’s an Iron Priest, a Rune Priest, and a Rune Priest in Terminator Armour available as a three-pack in metal, while the Wolf Guard Standard Bearer, Njal Stormcaller, and Lukas the Trickster are all available as individual releases in metal. Things are capped off by the legendary Dreadnought Bjorn the Fell-handed – also in metal – and supplied with a Space Wolves transfer sheet comprising 419 decals.

These products will be available on a made-to-order basis from Saturday 13th September until 8am BST on Monday 22nd September, and may take up to 180 days to arrive.

Saints of the Imperium (Special Edition)

The Imperium venerates its greatest heroes as saints, beacons of light in the roiling, war-torn darkness that is the 41st Millennium. This special edition slipcase collection brings three previously available short novels and a short story together across three volumes, each featuring red binding, screen printed art, and ribbon bookmarks.

Volume One contains Celestine and Celestine: Revelation by Andy Clark, Volume Two is Ephrael Stern: The Heretic Saint by David Annandale, and Volume Three is The Triumph of Saint Katherine by Danie Ware. Each is signed by the author, while the slipcase is individually numbered and features a triptych of sacred iconography on the front. This product will only be available while stocks last.

Next week on Warhammer TV you’ll be able to watch the first episode of new animation Sigmar’s Toll, which is from the same team that brought you Pariah Nexus and The Tithes. It’s also time for the first episode of Tale of Four Painters, which follows the hobby journey that the presenters of Tale of Four Traitors took ahead of their gaming commitments.

On Deep Strike its time for the Warhammer Animations Team to talk about the behind scenes story of Blacktalon Season Two, while Arena of Death returns to pit 16 of the most terrifying monsters of Warhammer 40,000 against each other – no named characters, just gargantuan beasts and vile daemons.

On Warhammer Community we’ll be continuing our Helsmiths of Hashut coverage with Warhammer Design Studio roundtable interviews, revealing something rather sharp and mean for Warhammer 40,000, and checking out what went into the design rules and miniatures for the Palanite Enforcers.
