Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game Journal: The Burning of the Westfold™

This Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game expansion provides 11 linked Narrative Scenarios that let you recreate some of the most iconic battles the Rohirrim fought during the War of the Ring in The Lord of the Rings™: Motion Picture Trilogy. Also included are a number of detailed hobby guides, including how to paint horses, how to make the Fords of Isen, how to get more out of your Rohan Houses, and how to make the Plains of Rohan.

You will need a copy of the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game Rules Manual and Armies of The Lord of the Rings™, both available separately, to make full use of this gaming supplement.

Riders of Rohan™

The pride of Rohan's armies are her riders. The six miniatures in this kit are equipped with armour and shields, hand weapons, and bows. Four include the option to wield throwing spears, and all six riders and horses are interchangeable with each other.

Warriors of Rohan™ Commanders

The captains of Rohan's armies come from all walks of life, but all share great skill in warfare and experience of battle. This kit builds a Captain, a Warrior with a banner, and a Warrior with a war horn, and includes cosmetic options to customise your miniatures.

Hill Tribesmen Commanders

The Hill Tribes of the West-march are each commanded by their own chieftain – a ruthless and savage leader. This kit builds a Chieftain, a Warrior with a banner, and a Warrior with a war horn. The chieftain can be armed with a large two-handed weapon or a hand weapon and shield, and can alternatively be built as the Wild Man Oathmaker, who pledges the Wild Men of Dunland to Saruman.

White Dwarf 526***

The July edition of White Dwarf is a celebration of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. There’s an exclusive interview with the director of the forthcoming video game and a Blood Ravens painting guide, along with a Warhammer: The Old World battle report.

Black Library – Flames of Betrayal

This Horus Heresy omnibus brings together Garro: Knight of Grey, which sees the former Death Guard legionary come face-to-face with Mortarion during the Siege of Terra, and Era of Ruin, an anthology of eight short stories that focus on what happened in the immediate aftermath of Horus’ defeat by the Emperor.

This week on Warhammer TV
