Tyranids swarm over our Iron Halo coin stash thanks to February’s free Miniature of the Month

With the Call to Arms campaign and 1 Million Miniatures challenge in full swing, it’s a great time to stop by your local Warhammer store and take a gander over a future hobby project or two. You can even pick up one of our free Miniatures of the Month while you’re there, and for February the hive fleets have descended to fill our stores with vicious little Termagants.

These miniatures may vary from the one shown and will only be available while stocks last, so ask your local store staff how to claim one.* They’re a great palette for testing out new colour schemes – perfect for new hobbyists who want to try out this fun painting lark for themselves.

While you’re doing that you can take advantage of the in-store Pick ‘n’ Mix paints offer to grab some colours for your little xenos terror, or the pile of miniatures you’ve pledged to paint this year. You have pledged, right? If you want to match the colours above, some Wraithbone, Kakophoni Purple, and Screamer Pink are a great start.

This month’s coin pays homage to the champions of the Adeptus Astartes with an Iron Halo design, reminiscent of the classic decorative shield generators that adorn the Space Marines’ greatest heroes. While we can’t suggest that it’ll protect against bolt rounds or chainswords, we can at least say it’ll look great among your collection, so ask your local store how you can get yours.

If you’re making the trip to your local store, why not bring along a friend and introduce them to the incredible worlds of the Warhammer hobby? They’ll get to choose between a free Infernus Space Marine or a Stormcast Eternals Liberator, experience a painting tutorial for their new model, and learn how to play their first game of Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Better yet, if they pick up one of the starter sets, Combat Patrols, or Spearhead boxes, you’ll get progress towards your next Call to Arms sticker and earn awesome rewards.

In addition, the Battle Honours programme rewards new hobbyists for completing a series of fun activities based around the key pillars of the Warhammer hobby: Collect, Build, Paint, Play and Read.

Lastly, before we go, we’ve got a couple of store openings to celebrate! If you’re in the vicinity of Tokyo in Japan, a new Warhammer location has just opened its doors in Hachioji, so make sure to give them a visit. Likewise, Besançon in France now plays host to its first store.

Your store manager can let you know when the miniature and coin are ready to collect, so pop in when you’ve got a chance and don’t miss out. If your store hasn’t celebrated its anniversary yet, even better – there are two anniversary miniatures on sale only during the store’s birthday week, and the 2026 pair are quite spectacular.
