The brutal battles of the Horus Heresy grind on, and new reinforcements are about to arrive, clad in a classic mark of power armour.

New Space Marines clad in MkIV ‘Maximus’ armour are on the way, and leading the charge are Tactical Legionaries wielding Tigris-pattern bolters.
This pattern of armour was designed to be the most technologically advanced armour available to the Legiones Astartes at the height of the Great Crusade, when lost technology and precious materials flowed into Mars like a river.
The rigours of the Horus Heresy would soon prevent its widespread adoption as the Mechanicum fractured and supply lines collapsed, though the Warmaster ensured that many of his favoured Legions received large stocks of the new armour – most notably, the Sons of Horus.
The MkIV plate joins the other marks of Astartes armour already in the Horus Heresy range: MkII ‘Crusade’ pattern, MkIII ‘Iron' pattern, and Mk VI ‘Corvus’ pattern. And, just like the other marks, the new miniatures are compatible with the range of upgrade sets,* so you can equip them with heavy weapons, special weapons, or as a command squad.
Alongside the new Tactical Legionaries, there are also Assault Legionaries in MkIV power armour, borne aloft on the sleek jump packs that would later be adopted by those in MkVI ‘Corvus’ armour.
As an added bonus, you can also build this squad as Veteran Assault Marines with a complete set power lances, turning them into deadly killers who excel at skewering their fellow Space Marines.

The first time you’ll be able to get hold of these reinforcements is in the Maximus Battle Group box. This bumper box features 20 Tactical Legionaries and 10 Assault Legionaries, all clad in MkIV armour.
Supporting them are a Contemptor Dreadnought, with a wide selection of weapons to suit every situation, and a nimble Sicaran Battle Tank with a battery of accelerator autocannons.

The Maximus Battle Group will be hitting pre-orders soon. Grab either the Liber Astartes: Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book or the Liber Hereticus: Traitor Legiones Astartes Army Book for the rules to unleash these miniatures in the Age of Darkness.
* Like the MkIII kits, the Tactical Squad comes with a set of vambraces so you can convert the arms in the Special, Heavy, and Melee weapons sets to look more like regular MkIV arms.
