Off the coast of Ulthuan, the Sea Lord Aislinn commands his mighty dragonship, taking an almost cruel delight in punishing those who would threaten the High Elves’ shores. His campaign offers a fresh new look at the oceans of the Old World, as you scour distant shores and dedicate your spoils to powerful Elven lords.

Venture beyond Ulthuan’s beaches and you’ll encounter the Legendary Hero Caradryan, as well as new units including the Sea Elemental, the Merwyrm, Oceanids, Ship’s Company, and the Lothern Sky Cutter.

Dechala is one of the most infamous warlords in Slaanesh’s legions, with a well-earned reputation for brutality and excess that earned her a twisted serpentine body gifted by the Dark Prince. With a wicked blade in each of her six hands, she’s a terror on the battlefield who delights in inflicting exquisite agony on Lords or Heroes that stray within her reach.

Her own collection of new units adds a wide variety of specialised warriors to the Slaaneshi roster, including a Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Slaanesh, the vicious Styrkaar of the Sortsvinaer, Druchii Anointed, Exalted Hero of Slaanesh, Pleasureseekers, Devotees of Slaanesh, Champions of Slaanesh, Slaangors, and the monstrous Preyton.

Finally, the treacherous Sorcerer known as Sayl the Faithless seeks to ascend through an arcane ritual deep within the snowy lands of Norsca, using their tried and tested skills of betrayal and manipulation – and a spot of dark magic – to swing perilous battles in their favour. Winning battles around chaos altars will charge Sayl’s ritual further, but you can’t trust the other factions to keep their noses out, and you’ll always want to stab them in the back first so your own remains blissfully knife-free.

Sayl brings a diverse roster of new units to the table, led by a Great Shaman Sorcerer, Beorg Bearstruck, while Fimir Nobles, Marauder Bearmen, Kurgan Horsemen, Curs’d Ettin, Runecaller, Chimera, and Dreadmaw shake the snow-capped peaks with their thundering arrival.

Disciples of Slaanesh will be getting even more with this update, as the free patch that accompanies Tides of Torment also adds the devilish Masque of Slaanesh as a new Legendary Lord, making it the 104th to feature in the game series. She’ll be available to all players whether they pick up the content pack or not, so hop back into Total War: Warhammer III and give her new campaign mechanics a shot.
