First look: New characters and enemies for Warhammer Survivors

Last year, we announced Warhammer Survivors, a fast-paced roguelite survivors game where you battle endless hordes. Now, we’re revealing some of the heroes coming to the Warhammer 40,000 side of the game.

Auroch Digital, the team behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, already told us that Malum Caedo will be stepping out from the FPS view as a playable character. He’s going to be joined by some of the most famous characters from the 41st Millennium, including Ultramarines Chapter Master Marneus Calgar, Salamanders Chaplain Fo’Baran, Knight-Commander Pask in his Leman Russ, and even Old Bale Eye himself, Commissar Yarrick.*

And there’s more great news – the game will also be coming to consoles, launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 on top of Steam later this year. Check out the awesome trailer:

In Warhammer Survivors, you’ll face off against swarms of relentless foes, earning experience to gain new weapons and power-ups so that you can become a screen-clearing, death-dealing avatar of fury.

We’ve already revealed that the Tyranids will be an enemy force, but if Commissar Yarrick is leading the charge, then you know there’s a different horde of xenos that need taking care of! You just can’t keep the Orks away from a good scrap, and they’ll be joining the game, giving you the chance to take on grots, Boyz, Warbikers, Bomb Squigs, Lootas, and even a Shokk attack Gun-wielding Big Mek.

There’s also something called an Extremis Boss coming to the game, and enemies don’t get much more extreme and boss-like than the Prophet of Gork and Mork himself, Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka.

Don’t forget, it’s not just Warhammer 40,000 icons that you can send off into battle. You’ll be able to head off into the Mortal Realms too, and lead Warhammer Age of Sigmar characters like Neave Blacktalon,** Gotrek Gurnisson, and Sharynn Azurwrath, a Stormcast Eternals Vanquisher, in combat against swarms of Skaven.

Warhammer Survivors is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, as well as Steam, later this year.
