Saturday Pre-orders – It’s fighting time for Space Marines and Chaos Marauders

What’s got big muscles and likes to club things over the head with a sharp object? Most of Warhammer, as it turns out, but that’s no big deal – loads of muscled-up melee machines are here this week, and all looking for a piece of the biggest guy. We’ve got Space Marines and we’ve got Chaos Marauders, along with Made to Order releases from Middle-earth and a thunderous new Black Library novel that breaks uncertain ground in the wake of the Horus Heresy.

Ferren Areios

Ferren Areios, Captain of the Ultramarines’ 6th Company, was first seen in the Dawn of Fire series and now stars in his own Black Library novel, Master of Rites (which is also available to pre-order today). A warrior forged in the fires of the Indomitus Crusade, he was hand-picked by Roboute Guilliman to lead his brothers in battle. Wielding a thunder hammer named Honour, he is salvation to the Imperium and damnation to its enemies.

This brand-new plastic miniature depicts Ferren Areios with his mighty thunder hammer, relaying tactical commands to his forces via servo-skull. Clad in ornate Mk X Tacticus armour, the miniature also comes with a choice of bare and helmeted heads.

A free Warhammer 40,000 Legends datasheet for using Ferren Areios will be available in a future update to the Space Marines Faction Pack. For now, you can use the Space Marine Captain datasheet, with Honour representing a master-crafted power weapon or a power fist, depending on your preference.

Ancient in Terminator Armour

Ancients in Terminator Armour are tasked with carrying the sacred banners of the Space Marines – a vital task that, unfortunately, often makes them attractive targets. Thankfully, their mighty suits of Terminator armour render them near impervious to enemy fire, ensuring the Chapters’ standards always fly.

This plastic miniature holds aloft an Astartes Banner in one hand while the other aims a storm bolter squarely at the approaching foe, and it can be customised with a choice of four heads, two right arms, and two banners.

Terminator Assault Squad

Terminator Assault Squads are dispatched when the Emperor’s justice needs to be hand delivered. Armed with devastating close-combat weaponry, they are perfect for ferocious assaults and savage boarding actions, rushing to shred the foe with lightning claws or shatter their skulls with thunder hammers.

This kit builds five plastic Assault Terminators and a Teleport Homer that any Space Marines army can use in Warhammer 40,000, and the unit can be customised with a choice of thunder hammers and storm shields – ideal for taking down the biggest, toughest targets – or twin lightning claws to tear hordes of enemy troops to shreds.

Suboden Khan

No quarry can evade Suboden Khan as he leads the White Scars’ First Brotherhood on epic hunts and sweeping advances from atop his custom grav bike – smashing through enemy lines and ruthlessly running down fleeing foes before delivering the killing strike with his lethal hunting lance, Stormtooth. This miniature is packed with details, including the claimed heads of previous victims and a billowing cloak, and can be assembled with a choice of bare or helmeted heads.

Chaos Marauders Army Reinforcement Set

Start a new Warriors of Chaos army or swell your existing collection with the Chaos Marauders Army Reinforcement Set! It comprises 40 Chaos Marauders, which can be assembled in two units of 20 or four units of 10 – each with their own option for champion, standard bearer, and musician – and armed with a variety of different weapon options, as well as 10 Marauder Horsemen to lead the charge in units of 10 or five.

The box – which is only available while stocks last – also contains a pair of Warriors of Chaos transfer sheets and is the first place you can get your hands on these miniatures.

Ashes of the Imperium

At the close of the Siege of Terra, there are many loose ends – Traitors trying desperately to escape, a monumental vacuum of power to fill, and a crumbling galactic government to see to. Those who hold on to power must decide how to wield it, and a new structure must be put in place, all while desires to exact vengeance run high. Chris Wraight’s Ashes of the Imperium marks the beginning of an epic new series from Black Library, The Scouring, charting the volatile period in the aftermath of the Horus Heresy as an unsteady Imperium must find its footing and learn how to exist without the guidance of the Emperor.
