Aeldari Corsairs have kidnapped our community painters!

You didn’t think we could spend a few days looking at community-painted corsairs and leave out all the Aeldari, did you? The renegade Space Marines might have been showing off yesterday, but today it’s time to celebrate the daring, void-faring pirates that gather under the banner of the Anhrathe.

Paulie’s Corsairs

Those who remember Warhammer Community a little over a year ago might recall a rather stunning showcase of Aeldari Corsairs painted by Paulie Wallis. He’s a die-hard fanatic for the darker side of the Aeldari, so it should come as no surprise that he’s added their new kits to his Sky Serpents crew.

We’ve got one as a teaser here, and we’ll be showing off the whole lot soon.

Prince Yriel

The dashing prince of the Eldritch Raiders is obviously going to take top billing, and to the surprise of nobody we had some beautiful examples to show off. Alison, Daniel, and Maxime all went for very different takes on his traditional Iyanden colours, while Will and Sion branched out into reds and purples for a different spin on Yriel’s distinctive battle plate.

Kharseth

The expert Void Dreamer known as Kharseth was a popular choice among our painters, who really opened up their palettes to create a wondrous spectrum of miniatures. Liam, Em, Jessica, and Anna all approached theirs differently with wildly varied colours – though credit to the model and the painters, all looking indelibly Aeldari.

No two examples of Kharseth looked alike, despite us receiving loads of them back from the painters. Chris, Lauren, Maxime, Stuart, and Will all did an incredible job on such a dynamic, flowing miniature.

Skyreavers

The clean, shiny armour of the Corsair Skyreavers presented a different challenge, which Sion, Thibault, Blake, Jessica, and Lauren took to with gusto. The miniatures still retain all of the fancy ornamentation that’s typical of such ostentatious Corsairs, while the armour provides plenty of opportunity to show off bright and contrasting colours.

Starfang and Vyper

With the venerable Vyper getting a long-awaited refresh in this new release – joined by its alternate configuration, the Corsairs’ own Starfang – we had plenty of gleaming hulls and graceful lines to showcase. Solly and his son, Colin, Lukas, and Sion all went for the Vyper, and yet made it look wildly different in all four cases, while Chris chose to build his as a Starfang draped in a simple but stunning teal scheme.

Voidscarred

We even had a couple of Corsair Voidscarred come in, who are also included in the Eldritch Raiders battleforce available to pre-order this Saturday. Quipster painted theirs in a classic Corsair-esque aquamarine, with deep contrast really showing off the elegant, curved armour plates.

Matt’s Corsair crew

Two of our community painters even painted the whole lot! Matt’s Corsairs nod back to their Iyanden origins with a lighter blue, red, and yellow scheme and the stylised eye badge of Yriel’s Eldritch Raiders on the Starfang.

Vic’s Corsair crew

Vic instead chose a two-tone green and brown palette that matches their dusty bases perfectly, picking out small gems and lenses in bright pink to give the whole gang a sharp point of contrast.

Aren’t those all enticing? Pre-order your own crew of daring Aeldari Corsairs when the new battleforce box goes up for pre-order this Saturday alongside The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant and the villainous Red Corsairs.
