You are cordially invited to your local Warhammer store from 4 April 2026 to pick up a Cryptguard from the Flesh-eater Courts and join April’s banquet.

These ghouls have distinguished themselves through zealous devotion, and their lords have named them as bodyguards. Such a position comes with perks – better lairs, scraps thrown from the tables of the nobility, and even a certain level of respect from other serfs.
The miniatures will be available while stocks last, and they may differ from the one pictured. Ask your local store staff how to claim one.* With their skin, fur, and rusted weapons, they are great for trying out a new paint scheme, or you can follow our painting guide.
If you do want to follow our YouTube guide, you can take advantage of the in-store Pick ‘n’ Mix paints offer – simply pick any 10 paints and get the most expensive one free. Paint along with Leadbelcher, Morghast Bone, Rakarth Flesh, Stegadon Scale Green, Thondia Brown, Flash Gitz Yellow, Pallid Wych Flesh, Skrag Brown, Word Bearers Red, and Ratling Grime.

If you’re taking part in the 1 Million Miniatures challenge, it’s a great time to stock up on paints, and that Cryptguard counts as one more towards our goal.
You’ll also be able to pick up a new collectable coin from 4 April 2026, and this time it’s Adeptus Custodes-themed. They are only available while stocks last, so make sure you ask staff how you can get hold of one.

April is also a big month in the Mortal Realms, as new battletomes and miniatures for the Daughters of Khaine and Sylvaneth arrive in-store. If you want to start a new army or add to an existing one, our friendly staff can offer advice on growing your force and choosing paint schemes.
If you’re already planning your store visit, bring along a friend and introduce them to Warhammer! They can choose their first miniature – either an Infernus Space Marine or a Stormcast Eternals Liberator – get a painting tutorial for their new model, and play an introductory game of Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Better yet, if they pick up one of the starter sets, Combat Patrols, or Spearhead boxes, you’ll get progress towards your next Call to Arms sticker and earn awesome rewards.
As a new hobbyist, your friend can also get involved with the Battle Honours programme, which rewards them for diving into a series of fun activities based around the key areas of the Warhammer hobby – Collect, Build, Paint, Play, and Read.
Finally, Warhammer fans in Poland have two reasons to celebrate in April – a new store is opening in Szczecin on 11 April 2026 and another in Poznan on 25 April 2026. We also have two new stores opening in the USA – South Bend, Indiana, opens on 11 April 2026, and Arlington, Texas, opens on 18 April 2026.
* One miniature per person. To claim your miniatures in Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and the UK, you will need to assemble them in-store. Our staff are there to help you do just that!
