This extract from 2013’s Book Two: Massacre, lifts the lid on the XVII Legion, originally known as the Imperial Heralds.
The XVII were tasked with spreading the Imperial Truth to those who did not see the light, and destroying any work that spoke of sorcery or false gods. After the discovery of their father, Lorgar, they continued to denounce the worship of idols, except for one – the Emperor himself. Learn about the origins of the Legion, how they were rebuked by the Emperor, and where they travelled to find powers that would accept their worship.
