The Saturnine box set lands soon, heralding a new edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness, but it’s far from the only new box of plastic miniatures on the way!
At the end of the Dropsite Preview, we got an early glimpse at further reinforcements you will be able to add into your Legions in the coming months. Here’s a closer look.

The Tarantula Sentry Gun is the little brother of the Araknae Quad Accelerator Platform that comes in the new Saturnine set, a key part of any Legion arsenal when denying critical areas of the field to the foe. These expendable remote gun platforms are dropped in from orbit ahead of advancing Space Marine forces, and are flexible enough to be equipped with all manner of anti-infantry and anti-armour weapons, as the need demands.

The Rapier is similar, providing Legion forces with a mobile heavy weapon or light artillery support. There are two new plastic kits on the way – one with a graviton or quad-bolter option, and one with a quad-launcher or laser-destroyer. Whatever you’re shooting, there is a Rapier for the job!

The new crew are packed with detail and character, including scanners, visors, controls and a selection of heads and arms, and like all Horus Heresy Space Marine plastics, the bits are interchangeable with other kits in the range.

If you would rather watch your enemy perish up close on your blade than in the fires of a distant artillery bombardment, there’s very good news.
Here’s your first look at the new MKII Assault Marine. This combat expert features a much more aggressive look than we’ve seen previously. He looks like an absolute murder-machine – look at the size of that chainaxe!

The new plastic Breachers are also inbound. Among the most requested of all Horus Heresy kits, you will soon be able to bolster your battleline or boarding force with stalwart shield-bearing legionaries. They are ideal troops for fighting in the close confines of Zone Mortalis warzones, and for holding the line against the odds.

While the humble bolter is the most ubiquitous Legion weapon during the Age of Darkness, there are plenty more exotic armaments, including deflagrating lethality of volkite guns – but who’s carrying this one?

While Space Marines are at the forefront of battles in the Horus Heresy, they are far from the only combatants. Here’s a peek at some other new plastic soldiers, courtesy of the forges of Mars.

And finally, staying in the Solar System, here is the glinting blade of an auramite spear…
