Soil shifts under the wan moonlight as a bony hand thrusts through the earth to grasp at the night air. Dozens more bloom in the dirt like osseous flowers – the Barrow Kingdoms rise from their graves to serve their vampiric masters. The Soulblight Gravelords have mustered, and will be shambling onto tables near you when pre-orders open this Saturday. There’s also a new warband for Warhammer Underworlds and a selection of Black Library books on the horizon.
Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords
The vampiric aristocracy deputised by Nagash to aid in his conquest of the Mortal Realms return. Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords puts you in charge of the skeletal warriors of the ancient Barrow Kingdoms and the bloodsucking sovereigns who command them. This new book collects rules and warscrolls for the Soulblight Gravelords with background, Battle Traits, Battle Formations, Heroic Traits, Artefacts of Power, plus Spell and Manifestation Lores.
It contains rules for a new skeletal Spearhead, Regiments of Renown, and two Armies of Renown – one focused on the Barrow Kingdoms, the other on the vampires of the Crimson Keep. You can also weave your own dark magic to raise an undead champion with a new Anvil of Apotheosis and rules for Path to Glory.
Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords (Gamer’s Edition)
Get all that content in a more portable package with the Gamer’s Edition of Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords, featuring all of the same material in a smaller format. It comes with a full set of reference cards and will be available while stocks last.
Prince Vhordrai, Lord of the Crimson Keep
Both castellan and prisoner of the phantasmagorical Crimson Keep, Prince Vhordrai is a ruthless chevalier who commands an army of Blood Knights in a constant war against the living from his supernatural fastness that shifts around the Mortal Realms. Upon the back of the vile undead Draconith, Shordemaire, he terrorises battlefields with a combination of death magic and martial prowess.
This kit also builds a Revenant Draconith, creatures raised from death by supremely powerful necromancers. In battle they rule the skies, swooping from great heights to belch clouds of pestilential breath on their foes, before tearing them asunder with claws and teeth honed by the ages.
Blades of the Hollow King
Cado Ezechiar may be a vampire, but his single-minded quest for vengeance consumes him far more than the Soulblight Curse – though occasionally his mission brings him in line with the wider machinations of the vampire dynasties. He is joined by the vampiric assassin Sissendra and the necromancer Aurelias, the latter acting as the eyes and ears of the Mortarch Neferata. This unit can also be used as a Regiment of Renown with other Death armies whose objectives align with those of the Hollow King.
Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed
Vampire Lords are some of the most fearsome combatants in the Mortal Realms. When riding at the forefront of a lance of Blood Knights, they scythe through enemy units in a frenzy of bloodletting. This miniature has options for two different horse heads, three different vampire heads, and a choice of axe or sword.
Wight King on Skeletal Steed
Those sovereigns who chose to pledge their lives to Nagash rather than let go of their vast domains became Wight Kings, ancient revenants whose might rivals that of the vampire dynasties. They command legions of undead warriors, often for the benefit of Vampire Lords who have the courage to parlay.
This kit builds either a Wight King on Skeletal Steed, or a lesser Wight Lord on Skeletal Steed.
Barrow Knights
Warriors who swore unbreakable oaths to their monarchs in eras past, the Barrow Knights are the personal bodyguards of the Wight Kings and Lords. They skewer their foes on ancient lances, and even if they are destroyed by their foes they are fated to rise again in order to fulfil their troth for all eternity. This kit builds five Barrow Knights with interchangeable shields and helmets, plus options for a champion, musician, and standard bearer.
Barrow Guard
The elite footsoldiers of the Barrow Kingdoms are champions, praetorians, royal bodyguards, and more besides. They retain memories of their servitude before death, alongside their memory of martial acuity, making them truly fearsome warriors. This kit contains 10 Barrow Guard that can be built with either shields and swords or two-handed glaives. There are 10 interchangeable heads, and options to build two champions, two banner bearers, and two musicians.
Deathrattle Skeletons
The might of the Barrow Kingdoms comes from their endless legions of Deathrattle Skeletons – undead warriors who march forward in lockstep, grinding their foes down in a battle of attrition, odds firmly in their favour as necromancers raise ever more dead to do their bidding. This updated kit contains 20 Deathrattle Skeletons which have been redesigned to be easier to build, with interchangeable blade, spear, and shield arms, and options to make two champions and two standard bearers. It also includes four cosmetic tombstones.
Soulblight Gravelords: Manifestations
This set of three Manifestations contains the Hand of Nagash, a colossal conjuration that chokes the life out of its foes, as well as an Unholy Reliquary, which acts as a conduit for necromantic power, and a Sanguine Swarm – flocks of bats to harry your foes.
Cursed Sepulchre
There are innumerable monuments to the dead across the Mortal Realms, and as foul energies coalesce they become wellsprings of necromantic power. These Cursed Sepulchres become nexus points for the Soulblight Gravelords – focuses for spellcasting and raising the dead.
This kit builds three Cursed Sepulchres, which feature numerous cosmetic options, and they can also be built as a Nexus of Grief, for Nighthaunt armies. There will be a free PDF with rules available on Warhammer Community next week.
Spearhead: Bloodcrave Hunt
When the pangs take a Vampire Lord, they ride out to slake their thirst with a coterie of Blood Knights, using Vargheists as bloodhounds and Deathrattle Skeletons as beaters. This is a repackage of the previous Spearhead, containing a Vampire Lord, three Varghiests, five Blood Knights, and 20 of the new Deathrattle Skeletons, along with four gravestone markers.
Soulblight Gravelords Dice
Bless your rolls with powerful death magic using this set of 16 Gloomspite Gitz dice. They are coloured black with red ink and feature the symbol of the Soulblight Gravelords on the six face.
Knives of the Crone
The aelven goddess of prophecy is worshipped in secret by those disillusioned with the tyranny of Morathi. Led by the seer Kaema Vix, Krieta and Tazari slaughter foes to ensure the visions of Morai-Heg come to pass, while the arbalist Azphel picks off foes from a distance to protect his master. This Mastery warband follows the Rituals of Prophecy to empower their attacks, manipulate your deck, and improve your chances of weathering enemy attacks.
