Saturday Pre-orders – Saturnine reinforcements hit the Dropsite

The might of the Legiones Astartes is here, as standalone kits of the miniatures found in Saturnine join a new weapons configuration for the Saturnine Dreadnought and useful accessories for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Also, the paperback release of the final novel in the legendary Horus Heresy series is up for pre-order, so if you haven’t finished the story yet, now’s the time.

Saturnine Praetor

Praetors are the leaders of your Space Marine armies, commanding the Legiones Astartes when battles don’t warrant the attention of a Primarch. When clad in Saturnine Terminator armour, these matchless warriors are some of the deadliest things on the battlefield, nearly matching their legendary gene-fathers in fighting prowess.

Each Saturnine Praetor is a hugely customisable, multi-part plastic kit with options for a concussion hammer, a Saturnine war axe, and a plasma blaster, along with loads of optional cosmetic parts and full ball-jointed limbs that allow for a massive variety of potential poses. The box also contains a Horus Heresy character transfer sheet comprising 339 decals.

Centurion with Power Maul

While Praetors oversee command of the entire army during battle, Centurions concern themselves with ground-level leadership and are often found fighting at the very speartip of a Space Marine assault. This new Centurion clad in highly ornate MkII Crusade armour wields a power maul and a combi-melta, and has a choice of helmeted or unhelmeted heads. The box also contains a Horus Heresy character transfer sheet with 339 decals.

Saturnine Terminator Squad

Terminators clad in Saturnine-pattern armour are walking behemoths who can heft some of the largest infantry-scale weapons crafted by the forges of Mars, weathering immense damage as they eradicate all who stand before them.

Each box contains four miniatures split into two frames, with each frame offering four heads, two plasma bombards, two twin heavy disintegrators, and two left-handed Saturnine disruption fists with optional particle shredders. The box also contains a Legiones Astartes infantry transfer sheet comprising 618 decals.

Saturnine Siege Dreadnought – Chiron Configuration

As the largest Dreadnought chassis fielded by the Legiones Astartes, the Saturnine Dreadnought is a true colossus packing immensely powerful weapons and layers of defensive armour and shields. The Chiron Configuration comes with a disintegrator cannon and heavy plasma bombard, a choice of chest-mounted photonic incinerators or twin concussive resonators, and loads of optional parts including alternate gorgets, front armour plates, and leg armour. The box also contains a Horus Heresy Dreadnought transfer sheet comprising 528 decals.

Saturnine Siege Dreadnought – Ophion Configuration

This version of the Saturnine Dreadnought, known as the Ophion Configuration, contains the same base kit as the Chiron Configuration but swaps its weapons for an arm-mounted inversion beamer and graviton pulveriser, and chest-mounted heavy particle shredders. The box also includes a Horus Heresy Dreadnought transfer sheet comprising 528 decals.

Saturnine Siege Dreadnought Weapons

Sprues for Dreadnought weapons in both Chiron and Ophion configurations will also be available separately from the Warhammer webstore, allowing for additional customisation options. Advanced modellers will be able to magnetise the arms in order to switch out configurations as mission parameters demand.

MkII Veteran Squad with Disintegrators

Squads of Veteran Tactical Marines can put their superior marksmanship to good use with rare and deadly weapons, including the infamous disintegrators. These relics of the Dark Age of Technology unbind the molecular structure of whatever they hit until only dust remains, and their poorly-understood mechanisms are often as lethal to the user as the target.

This kit contains 10 multi-part plastic Space Marines in MkII Crusade-pattern armour and a disintegrator weapon sprue, containing 10 disintegrator rifles, two combi-disintegrators, two disintegrator pistols, two disintegrator blasters, two heavy disintegrators, and 10 battery packs. It also contains a Horus Heresy Tactical Marine accessory frame, and a Legiones Astartes infantry transfer sheet with 618 decals.

Disintegrator Weapons Upgrade Set

If you fancy building Veterans in other armour marks, the Disintegrator Weapons Upgrade Set includes just the weapons from the Veteran Squad, which are compatible with both existing MkIII and MkVI Tactical Squad kits. This Upgrade Set contains two weapon frames for a total of 20 disintegrator rifles, four combi-disintegrators, four disintegrator pistols, four disintegrator blasters, four heavy disintegrators, and 20 battery packs.

Araknae Quad Accelerator Platform

While Space Marines are known for their rapid strikes, they do use defensive fortifications, and among the quickly assembled gun platforms at their disposal, the Araknae is by far the largest. Its armoured hull is armed with quad accelerator autocannons – double the firepower of a Sicaran battle tank – and contains an atomantic field generator that projects a protective forcefield around it and nearby allies. This kit contains a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet with 288 transfers.

Legiones Astartes Drop Pod

Drop Pods are unquestionably the best way to get Space Marines in orbit onto the ground, and their use was emblematic of the Legiones Astartes throughout the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy. This returning kit from the Warhammer 40,000 range has doors that can be assembled open or closed – or left unglued if you can’t decide – and now declares for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy with a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet containing 288 transfers.

Age of Darkness Markers and Tokens

The new edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy features a system of Tactical Statuses that radically shift how units behave – and tracking who has what is of the utmost importance. This Markers and Tokens set contains forty plastic tokens that you can use to keep track of these statuses, as well as mark objectives with the number of points they award. The set contains eight each of Pinned, Suppressed, Stunned, and Routed Tactical Status tokens which are 28mm in diameter, and eight 32mm Objective Markers.

Age of Darkness Dice Set

Imagine you’re about to roll a whole fistful of rotor cannon attacks and, shock, you’re out of dice. You could roll your hits in two batches – kind of lame – or you could pick up a nice new set of Age of Darkness dice, containing 20 dice cast in pearlescent black with silver ink pips. Each pack comes with 19 regular six-sided dice with the Sons of Horus logo on the six face, and a scatter dice.

White Dwarf 515

Join the Space Marines for an Adeptus Astartes bonanza in Issue 515 of White Dwarf. This month’s magazine is packed full of lore and rules for your favourite enhanced warriors, such as a Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Operations mini-game you can play with your own miniatures, instructions on how to create your own Chapter, and a unique Space Marines transfer sheet with 442 decals.

Elsewhere, pay homage to the Great Horned Rat with our content from the Mortal Realms, and join the Warhammer studio team for a casual chat about designing the Saturnine boxed set’s incredible miniatures.

The End and the Death: Volume III

It is time for the final confrontation. Sanguinius lies dead, slain by his brother, Terra burns as reality unravels, Loyalist and Traitor forces are locked in brutal battle, and high above the Throneworld a father and son prepare to do battle. Dan Abnett’s The End and the Death: Volume III is the final chapter of the Siege of Terra series, and is now available to pre-order in its regular paperback edition for the first time.

Here Is Where It Will End Map

The special edition of The End and the Death: Volume III featured a map of the Sanctum Imperialis surrounded by the Chaos Gods – an illustrative representation of the field of battle. It is being released again as a cotton map titled Here Is Where It Will End, wrapped in a faux-leather map-wrap with a faux leather cord and engraved metallic pendant, so it looks as good rolled up as it does unfurled. It is presented in a matt laminated box with gold foil blocking.

Kingsblade

The Imperial world of Donatos has fallen to the Word Bearers, and it is the Knight Houses of Adrastapol that form the vanguard of the assault to clear out the heretics. After tragedy strikes their force, Knights Errant Danial and Luk must quickly learn the ways of war in order to stop the Word Bearers’ unholy ritual and prevent the destruction of the Houses of Adrastapol. Kingsblade by Andy Clark is available to pre-order now in a new MP3 audiobook format.
