Sunday Preview – Reap the bone-tithe with osseous reinforcements

The forces of Death are relentless in their pursuit of domination in the name of Nagash, but of all the Great Necromancer’s loyal followers, the Ossiarch Bonereapers may be the most unwavering. These skeletal constructs exude martial prowess, and a new wave of deathless reinforcements are set to march onto your tabletop.

Battletome: Ossiarch Bonereapers

To muster the undead elites and reap a tithe of bones from the inhabitants of Nagash’s realm, you need the best martial strategies, and you can find them – as well as updated warscrolls, Spearhead, and Path to Glory rules – in Battletome: Ossiarch Bonereapers. This essential companion to the faction is also packed with background lore and beautiful artwork, so you can learn all there is to know about the Ossiarch Bonereapers and their place in the Mortal Realms at Nagash’s right hand.

Dedicated generals can keep their battlefield intelligence close at hand with the Gamer’s Edition of Battletome: Ossiarch Bonereapers. This soft-cover version includes all of the same content as the regular Battletome in a more compact form factor for easy transport to your games, and comes replete with a comprehensive set of 56 reference cards putting all the battle traits, warscrolls, and Spearhead rules you need in the palm of your hand.

Liege-Kavalos on War Chariot

A Liege-Kavalos atop a War Chariot leads their fellow charioteers into battle, guiding them in defensive manoeuvres that allow them to skillfully evade the foe. Their knowledge of this kind of warfare and their command of these war engines is absolute.

This multipart plastic kit can alternatively be built as a Kavalos War Chariot, with a choice of mace, bow, or throwing spears for one of the crew members.

Liege-Mortek

Liege-Morteks are the infantry field officers of the Ossiarch legions. They fight among Mortek troops, improving their already impressive efficiency and cohesion in battle, and with a gesture they can unleash devastating assaults that send their foes reeling.

This multipart plastic kit comes with two helmeted and one unhelmeted head options, and can be assembled with your choice of a sword, spear, or axe.

Mortek Triaxes

Mortek Triaxes are triple-eyed archers who rain hails of arrows, wreathed in flaming soul-essence, upon their victims – invoking unnatural horror in them. This kit builds 20 Mortek Triaxes and four Balefire Braziers, including parts for up to two optional champions.

Mortis Reapers

Mortis Reapers are dread assassins of forbidding aspect who slip between enemy lines to target vulnerable leaders. Enshrouded in a shimmering heat haze and bearing deadly necrocaches, none can escape the dreaded bone-tithe they are sent to collect.

This kit contains five Mortis Reapers, each with two cosmetic options for their left hand – either a spectral blade or a canister leaking plumes of smoke.

Mortisan Soulreaper

Mortisan Soulreapers are the members of their order most inclined towards outright destruction, acting as both wizards and martial heroes on the battlefield. It is their role to cut the soul from the enemy with their magical scythes, using the harvested spirits to sap their foes’ strength or fuel a burst of deathly energy.

Spearhead: Ossiarch Bonereapers – Kavalos Vanguard

Kavalos Vanguards are among the most potent Ossiarch Bonereapers fighting formations, formed when a group of Deathriders – the fast-moving shock troops of the Ossiarch Empire – muster under a Liege-Kavalos to roam the lands seeking to secure places of power.

This Spearhead set comprises one Liege-Kavalos, eight Teratic Cohort miniatures, and 10 Kavalos Deathriders. If not used to play games of Spearhead, the Liege-Kavalos can alternatively be built as the Hero Arch-Kavalos Zandtos – a powerful leader for cavalry-focused regiments.

Regiment of Renown: Heralds of the Bone-tithe

Vokmortian’s task is to ensure that the bone-tithe is met by all of Nagash’s vassals – willingly or otherwise. To this end, he roams the Mortal Realms with dispassionate diligence in pursuit of those in debt to the Ossiarch Empire, sending a chill through those who spy him outside their city gates.

As a Regiment of Renown the Heralds of the Bone-tithe can be used in Flesh-eater Courts, Nighthaunt, and Soulblight Gravelords armies, while the individual units – Vokmortian, Master of the Bone-tithe, three Immortis Guard, and 10 Mortek Guard – can also make potent additions to any Ossiarch Bonereapers force. If used as part of an Ossiarch Bonereapers army, the Immortis Guard can alternatively be built as Necropolis Stalkers.
