White Dwarf 513 – Khorne reigns supreme

On Saturday you can pre-order White Dwarf 513. And not a minute too soon; we can feel our anger rising, blood coursing hot in our veins, the desire for skulls growing. Yes, this month is the turn of Khorne, with the World Eaters and the Bloodbound as the heavily muscled focal points of the issue.

We’re kicking down the doors of the Grey Knights’ vault to steal all the information they’ve gathered over the years about Khorne and his followers – and they’ve used their reddest pens for all of this.

There are two army displays for the World Eaters, one for Warhammer 40,000 by legendary snooker player Neil Robertson, and the other for the Horus Heresy by the Warhammer Studio’s Luke.

Next up are rules for a new Combat Patrol – Arkoth’s Gorepact – which features daemonic Bloodletters, Flesh Hounds and mortal Goremongers led by a hulking Slaughterbound. The god of murder has even infiltrated the Bunker, providing rules for the Khorne’s Boon Mission pack, which comes with eight accompanying cards.

Khorne has also been lavishing his attention on the Mortal Realms, though Slaanesh is using the opportunity to get in on the action. Their bitter rivalry is explained, alongside a battle report that pits the Hedonites of Slaanesh against the Khorne Bloodbound. There’s also a new instalment of Glory Points which tips on creating Nemesis decks for these duelling deities in Warhammer Underworlds.

Then there are three new Legends warscrolls for Khorgos Khul, one of Khorne’s most infamous champions in the Mortal Realms. The first represents this savage warrior during the Age of Myth, the second is from the Age of Chaos, while the third covers his elevated form in the Age of Sigmar.

On top of all of this there’s the second part of James Brogden’s story The Trials of Albarak

Pre-order your issue on Saturday, or if you sign up for a 12-month subscription instead, you’ll get special full-art cover issues delivered right to your door.
