With all the excitement around the Horus Heresy concentrating on the upcoming Saturnine boxed set, Legions Imperialis has not been left by the wayside. Hefty reinforcements are being joined by a brand new supplement this summer.
Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports
As tanks go, the Mastodon is as big as they come. Designed to deliver multiple Space Marine squads right into the heart of the battle, it’s more of a mobile fortress than a traditional armoured fighting vehicle.
With its own anti-air defences, a siege-melta array for obliterating anything in its path, and a variety of other weapons including optional heavy bolter or lascannon sponsons, the Mastodon can bludgeon its way through almost any defensive line. This new plastic kit contains two miniatures.
Whirlwind and Scorpius Missile Tank Squadrons
This set of eight artillery tanks bulks your Legion force up in the shooting stakes. Inside you’ll find four Whirlwinds and four Scorpius Missile Tanks. The former are superb for saturation fire, especially on units garrisoning structures. The more troops sheltered within, the deadlier the result. Scorpius Missile Tanks fire more powerful ordnance, which can bring down armoured units.
Vindicator Siege Tank Squadron
If you’ve got enemy fortifications in need of serious breaching, the Vindicator Siege Squadron is just the ticket! This set of eight Vindicators each have a pintle-mounted bolter and a hull-mounted demolisher cannon. Two of the miniatures in the set can be modelled with a crewman sitting in the cupola.
Cerberus Heavy Tank Destroyer Squadron
Built with the same chassis found on the flexible Spartan tank, the Cerberus exchanges transport capacity for raw killing power, specifically intended to obliterate enemy heavy armour. With a hull-mounted neutron laser battery as its main weapon, and a variety of sponsons including heavy bolters, multi-meltas, and lascannons, the Cerberus is a threat to even the god-machines of the Legio Titanicus. This new kit contains four Cerberus Tank Destroyers.
Typhon Heavy Siege Tank Squadron
The Typhon is essentially a mobile, oversized gun – a dreadhammer siege cannon. It is designed to trundle right into the face of the foe, enemy shots pattering off its rugged hull, before firing vast shells that can lay waste to all before it. This new kit contains four miniatures.
Liber Strategia
An essential update for Legions Imperialis, Liber Strategia has content for every kind of player. This 240-page supplement collates, updates, and supersedes the previous army lists for (deep breath) the Legiones Astartes, Solar Auxilia, Mechanicum Taghmata, Dark Mechanicum, Collegia Titanica and Knight Households.
In addition to all that, there are Iconic Formations such as the Iron Hands Seeker-Killer Clade (a deadly tank formation famed for bringing down the Knights of House Caesarean), or the Cthonian Headhunters Sub-Cohort (a Solar Auxilia formation fanatically devoted to the Warmaster).
With this and the core rules to the game, you have everything you need to build Legions Imperialis armies, and use them on the tabletop.

With a pack for the Legiones Astartes, Solar Auxilia and Mechanicum, these are a handy, quick-reference resource – perfect for putting at the side of your gaming table, to save you rifling through your books.
Order Tokens and Objective Markers
This pack of 92 markers and tokens is a godsend for the various in-game orders. Each order token has the Legions Imperialis icon on one side, and the order on the other, which means you can keep them secret from your opponent until it’s time to be revealed.
