Hold onto your hats, as another gargantuan week of pre-orders is on the way. In the blue corner, we’ve got those thaumaturgical tin cans full of powdered Space Marine – the Thousand Sons. In the red green corner, the mercurial might of the Wood Elves is arrayed against all that threaten the forests of the Old World. Also, frogs.

Codex: Thousand Sons
An attempt to stop the Legion’s rampant mutations warped the majority of the Thousand Sons into little more than armoured automatons, and the remaining sorcerers now lead their warbands on esoteric quests for greater power, trapped within Tzeentch’s circuitous plans. This 120-page codex covers their history, their units, their wargear, and all their arcane scribblings – with five Detachments providing you a choice of playstyles including hordes of Tzaangor, legions of implacable Rubricae, and mixed hosts of mortals and daemons. This is all accompanied by pages of stunning miniature photography, as well as Combat Patrol, Crusade rules, and datasheets for every unit.
Fancy a change from the standard edition Codex? Pledge your mortal soul to Tzeentch for the Collector’s Edition, which has unique cover art, verdigris-coloured foil page edges, and a black ribbon bookmark. This is only available while stocks last.
Tzeentch smiles kindly on those who seek great knowledge, and the lavish limited edition Codex is a tome of treasures coveted by all. This package includes a copy of the Codex with unique cover art, a series of five art prints, a double-sided metal medallion fragment designed to be united with three other pieces, six double-sided metal objective markers, a pack of 33 Stratagem cards, and 39 datasheet cards – all contained in a special two-part slipcase. This is available while stocks last.
Warpflame Thrallband Battleforce

Sorcerers lead their cursed brothers into combat alongside warp-powered automata such as the eerily silent Sekhetar Robots, whose forms are inscribed with sigils of obscuration that keep them hidden until they unleash their arcane payload. The Warpflame Thrallband Battleforce contains three Exalted Sorcerers, five Scarab Occult Terminators, 10 Rubric Marines, and four brand new Sekhetar Robots, plus a Chaos Space Marine Transfer Sheet with 364 transfers. This set is available while stocks last.
Combat Patrol: Thousand Sons
Zadophon the Soul Eater commands his own personal force of Rubric Marines and Tzaangor Enlightened, and even has a Tzaangor Shaman in his thrall. Together they roam the galaxy in search of victims, weaving rituals for the Changer of the Ways and growing in power with each victory.
This Combat Patrol contains a fearsome Daemon Prince, a Tzaangor Shaman, three Tzaangor Enlightened, and 10 Rubric Marines, plus a Chaos Space Marine Transfer Sheet with 364 transfers.
Thousand Sons Dice and Datasheet Cards
Keeping as many plates spinning as the average Thousand Sons sorcerer may be why multiple limb mutations are so common amongst the followers of Tzeentch. Forgo the need for that third arm with a set of 39 quick reference cards that cover your primary Army Rule, datasheets, and Combat Patrol rules, and ensure the Great Conspirator smiles kindly on your fate with a set of 16 dice cast in pearlised blue, with yellow ink and the Mark of Tzeentch on the six face.

Arcane Journal: Wood Elf Realms
Take up arms and protect the forests of the Old World with Arcane Journal: Wood Elf Realms, a 48-page supplement containing new rules, background lore, and scenarios for these nature-loving elves. It includes profiles for legendary characters Orion, the King in the Woods, and Araloth, the Lord of Talsyn, plus an Army of Infamy for each: Orion’s Wild Hunt and the Host of Talsyn. Rules for Wood Elf Kindreds provide characters with additional benefits, and the Lore of the Wilds and new magic items let you kit out your heroes. It will be available in softback and digital epub editions.
Wood Elf Realms Battalion
The forces of Athel Loren muster for war with a core battalion force that contains 62 miniatures. 32 Asrai bow-wielding Glade Guard with full command options provide the pillar to build your army around, and can also be used to represent Deepwood Scouts. Take your pick between fast moving and hard hitting Wildwood Rangers or stalwart Eternal Guard able to rebuff cavalry charges, with enough miniatures to make 20 of one or two units of ten each with full commands. Finally, embrace hit and run tactics with either a unit of 10 Wild Riders, 10 Sisters of the Thorn, or flexible units of five each with a full command. The box also contains two new Wood Elf Realms Transfer Sheets, each featuring 186 transfers.
Wood Elf Realms Reference Card Pack and Dice Set
Add to your collection with a set of Reference Cards and thematic dice. The pack of 36 cards lets you quickly reference rules for magic items, Forest Sprites, and the Lore of Athel Loren. You can also get a pack of 20 dice – including one artillery and one scatter dice – cast in pearlescent green plastic with white pips and a Wood Elf icon on the six face.
Orion, the King in the Woods
Consort-king of Athel Loren, husband of the Mage Queen Ariel, and leader of the Wild Hunt, Orion is a literal force of nature whose arrival on the battlefield sends his allies into a frenzy as blasts from his horn stoke the spirit of Kurnous in them. Returning in metal, Orion, the King in the Woods comes with two Hounds of Orion – loyal coursers who help him run down his quarry.
Araloth, Lord of Talsyn
Talsyn – otherwise known as the Grove of Eternity – is ruled by Lord Araloth, a fearless hero and champion of Queen Ariel. Accompanied by his loyal hawk Skaryn the Eye Thief and wearing heavy armour, Araloth prefers to fight in the thick of combat side by side with the Eternal Guard. This is a returning plastic kit.
Wood Elf Noble on Dragon
Sinewy and serpentine, the Forest Dragons of Athel Loren have slowly become an extension of the forest’s will and are oft petitioned by Glade Lords for help in defending their realms. This returning kit is a metal dragon with plastic wings, and comes with six paper banners that you can use to decorate the cavalry spear or banner pole.
Returning Metal Wood Elf Characters
Warlike lords and nobles of the Asari, Mages irrevocably linked to the slumbering consciousness of Athel Lorel, and fearsome dryads roused when the glades are threatened are the core characters available for the Wood Elf Realms’ armies, each proficient in their own unique form of combat. Returning in metal, you can recruit a set of three Wood Elf Nobles on foot, a set of four Wood Elf Mages on foot, and the Branchwraith, plus a selection of mounted characters: Wood Elf Nobles on an Elven Steed and Great Stag, a Noble on a Great Eagle, and a Wood Elf Mage on a Warhawk.
Returning Plastic Wood Elf Units
The forests of the Old World are protected by Elves who are keenly attuned to their home’s capricious nature, willing to die for it even while remaining wary of its savage heart. You can ensure the borders remain safe with a selection of returning plastic kits: 32 Glade Guard – which can also represent Deepwood Scouts – with enough options to build two units of 16 with full command, and a dual kit for Wildwood Rangers and Eternal Guard that comes with enough options for full commands and a Wood Elf Realms Transfer Sheet containing 186 transfers.
Glade Riders are some of the greatest light cavalry in the Old World, whose deep bond with their mounts allows them to perform daredevil manoeuvres – this kit contains 12, with options to build two units of six with full command. Finally, a unit of 10 elite Wild Riders – which can also be built as a unit of 10 Sisters of the Thorn – comes with a Wood Elf Realms Transfer Sheet containing 186 transfers.
Returning Metal Wood Elf Units
There are Elves within Athel Loren who dedicate themselves to more ancient and obscure rites of war, marked apart from their kin by the specialised paths they walk. Wardancer troupes are perhaps some of the strangest – wild and unpredictable warriors who use their skill in dance to overwhelm their foes, and are returning as a set of five warriors and a five strong command troupe. Enigmatic and solitary Waystalkers stalk the woods like shades, while the silent sentinels known as Waywatchers do the same in roving groups.
Finally the might of this arboreal domain comes alive as its native creatures battle alongside their elven allies in deadly synergy. Warhawk riders elevate the savage speed and grace of the Wood Elves to the next level, harassing foes from above, while below them lumbering Treemen and Tree Kin crush and maim transgressors. The Wood Elf Beast Pack is a menagerie of wild animals led into battle by free spirited Asrai Beast Keepers, the full set containing a Bear of Loren, three Deepwood Hounds, three Forest Cats, three Sylvan Boars, and four Beast Keepers.
High Elf Loremaster
Some High Elves train in the martial and magical arts to such proficiency that they attain the rank of Loremaster. Deftly casting spells as easily as they wield their sword of Hoeth, they are the ultimate warrior-scholars, often leading regiments of Swordmasters into the fray.
Silver Helms
Silver Helms are young warriors recruited from families of noble blood, knights who exemplify grace, honour and all things good in Ulthuan, more than willing to charge headlong into battle against the odds. This box contains 12 Silver Helms with enough command options to make two units of six, plus a High Elf Realms Transfer Sheet featuring 356 transfers.
Arcane Frogs
Turn your rivals into frogs with the Scroll of Transmogrification, and then use this pair of delightful Forge World resin Arcane Frogs to represent their misfortune on the battlefield. What else is there to say but ribbit ribbit… ribbit?

On Warhammer+ this week, Phil and John from the Warhammer Design Studio pull up a pew on How We Roll to talk about the work that goes into creating memorable characters in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, from the perspective of both background and rules.
Loremasters goes in-depth on the Blood Angels, digging into the history of the IX Legion and uncovering the not-so-flattering details that stain their noble legacy. On Ultimate Paint-Off, four new contestants are tasked with conquering a challenge based on Contrast Paints, and we’re sure Ed has lots of twists in store for them as usual.
Here at Warhammer Community, the Scourge of Ghyran continues apace with new tools and warscolls on their way, alongside articles on the Thousand Sons and a malevolent reveal clunking and whirring over the horizon.
