Listen up, humies! Dis ’ere post is all about da new rulez for da Gloomspite Gitz. Nun of yer Sigmar dis or Sigmar dat. We’z not good with wordz, so Lewis da Boggleye will explain all. Gaze into his eyes. Deep! Deeper! Dance, humie, dance!
The Gloomspite Gitz receive two new battle formations in this update. The Gittish Tide enables a unit of Moonclan grots to contest an objective, even if they’re not all standing on it (they’re just so loud and distracting!), while the Sunbiter Pack makes Gitmob companions extra bitey. This one’s particularly handy if you’re fielding a lot of Snarlfang Riders in your army.
The little green gitz also get the Lore of Frazzlegit. Most grots hate the sun, but sometimes its power can prove useful. Bright Fright makes your own grots run away, which is very useful for getting them out of a scrap pain-free. On the other hand, Gitspeed encourages them to get a hustle on (possibly even towards the foe).

Today’s Warscroll offerings are for both types of Fanatics, so if you love ball-and-chain-related violence then you’re in for a treat! Loonsmasha Fanatics can now be chucked out of a unit of Stabbas or Shootas at virtually point blank range. They may hit an enemy unit, whirl through a unit or even plough through several units, inflicting mortal damage on all of them.
Sporesplatta Fanatics now cause absolute mayhem as they whirl their way forward in your Move phase, Charge (well, spin), duff up the enemy, then hurtle right into them in the End phase, potentially tying up units that your opponent thought were nice and safe behind their battleline.

Battle tactics have changed in the upcoming General’s Handbook! During army composition, you now pick two battle tactics cards, each of which has an overarching theme such as scouting out the battlefield, destroying particular foes, or controlling specific objectives.

Each card contains three battle tactics, and you have the length of the game to complete as many of them as possible. The twist is that you have to complete them in order and they get progressively harder to achieve. The Scouting Force card, for example, is particularly well suited to fast infantry and cavalry, or to factions with plenty of movement shenanigans. Ideal for Skaven or the Idoneth Deepkin, maybe less so for Maggotkin of Nurgle!
Wait, what’s that noise? It sounds like the wailing of tortured souls. Probably just the wind, right? Right…?
