Collect a host of Spearheads with new Warhammer Age of Sigmar magazine

Spearhead is the perfect way to get into Warhammer Age of Sigmar, with compact forces battling it out in fast, frantic matches. Now you’ll be able to join the fight more easily than ever with a new weekly magazine series, Spearhead, made in partnership with our friends at Hachette.

Each issue will come with miniatures, accessories, terrain, paints, or tools that introduce you to Age of Sigmar and your first Spearhead armies, so you’ll amass an impressive collection over time while learning all about the game and why it’s a boatload of fun.* By the end of the series, you’ll have twelve full Spearhead armies at your command, along with everything you need to collect, build, paint, and play in the world of the Mortal Realms.

The forces to collect represent a wide variety of factions from all four of the Grand Alliances that battle over the Mortal Realms, including the proud vampires of the Soulblight Gravelords, the mysterious reptilian Seraphon, the putrescent Maggotkin of Nurgle, and the conniving Gloomspite Gitz.

The weekly magazines that come as part of the Spearhead collection are packed with guides to help you on your journey, as well as loads of fascinating lore about the Mortal Realms, the people that live in them, and the battles fought for control over their lands. Then once you’ve got to know everyone, you can make them knock the stuffing out of each other in progressive tutorial games that take you from fresh-faced cadet to grizzled officer.

It’s not just miniatures, either – Spearhead comes with paints and brushes to paint your armies, with new colours and tools every few issues.

Oh, and don’t worry if you’re not already an artistic maestro. There are step-by-step painting guides that build up from the very basics until you’ve got plenty of techniques and tricks under your hat.

If you’re really getting into the Spearhead groove, you can also upgrade to a premium subscription, which adds a bunch of legendary monsters and heroes to your collection. Whether you’re taking them into full-size games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar or keeping them as epic display pieces on your shelf, they’re a great way to use your newly acquired hobby skills and build up to bigger and better projects.

Spearhead magazine is available now in local and national retailers throughout the UK. Alternatively, you can subscribe directly on Hachette’s website, making sure you never miss an issue – and bagging some extra free gifts.

* Several boats, actually – Spearhead is really fun to play.
