In just over a month it will be Christmas, that most wonderful time of the year where we all give and receive gifts. Is there anything better? Well, we aren’t going to be so bold as to say Warhammer is better than Christmas, but getting Warhammer for Christmas? Now that’s a combo we can get on board with…
We wonder what’s in the box? Using our expert knowledge of all things Warhammer, we analysed the video for clues. We can tell from the size of the box that it’s not a hero, like a Space Marine Lieutenant, or even a unit. It’s something bigger, like Ushoran, Mortarch of Delusion – who has captured hearts and minds not just as the epicentre of the Flesh-eater Courts mania but as the best Warhammer Age of Sigmar miniature of the whole decade.*
But that rattling…** that’s not what big kits sound like. We’ve separated the audio stems, we’ve run them through noise filters, we’ve sped them up and slowed them down and we can definitely hear multiple components clattering around there, including the distinctive sound of bases.

With that box size and a number of components, we reckon our lucky recipient has received a Combat Patrol or Spearhead boxed set. Either one is the perfect way to start a new army, or even just expand your collection of forces for these smaller, faster, self-contained versions of the full-sized game.

Or… it could be none of those things. We’re not psykers – abhor the witch, destroy the witch, you know the drill. There’s a whole host of Warhammer decorations and gifts available right now, and the ever-popular Battleforce boxed sets are on the way for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, meaning there’s plenty of ways to end up with loads of Warhammer on and under your tree.
* Any one of those 10 miniatures would make a stunning gift. Just saying.
** No, not those Ratlings.
