Warhammer Miniature of the Year 2025 – The winners revealed

After another year of incredible miniatures, we asked you to vote for your favourites of 2025 – and vote you did, by the thousands. The winners have now been decided across the three categories: Warhammer 40,000, which includes Kill Team, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, incorporating Warhammer Underworlds, and the Best of the Rest.

It was a big year for Warhammer 40,000, with a number of fairly hefty characters returning to the mix alongside some new names. It was an old soul that took the crown though, as Logan Grimnar lumbers into battle clad in Tactical Dreadnought Armour, with the Axe Morkai in hand and loyal thunderwolves Tyrnak and Fenrir at his side.

Snapping at Logan’s heels, with just over 200 votes between them, is Fulgrim, Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh. We can’t imagine he’s happy about that – thankfully he’s got a whole galaxy to take his fury out on. Moody new Raven Guard Chapter Master Aethon Shaan takes third place, while Lhykhis, Phoenix Lord of the Warp Spiders, teleports into fourth place, and Lord Marshal Dreir gallops into fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 are a collection of equally impressive miniatures, including one of this year’s Warhammer+ miniatures, an imposing Death Guard champion, and three named characters.

With the Mortal Realms undergoing the somewhat concerningly named Hour of Ruin* in the wake of the Vermindoom, plenty of movers and shakers have emerged – not least the Helsmiths of Hashut.

It’s Death that takes the crown for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, however. Prince Vhordrai, Lord of the Crimson Keep, took more votes than any other miniature this year, and that’s ignoring the fact the kit split its votes, as the Revenant Draconith on its own was awe-inspiring enough to secure third place.

In second place, it’s the restrained and magisterial Urkhan, the Dark Warden. Everyone loves an imposing Chaos Warrior it seems. The Helsmiths of Hashut prove their proficiency as artisans with the Dominator Engine taking fourth place, and the Wight King on Skeletal Steed secures the fifth slot.

Death continues its dominance of the top 10 with both the Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed and The Summons securing a spot. The Infernal Taurus takes two spots as people split the vote between Urak Taar and the Daemonsmith on Infernal Taurus.**

Our final category covers everything else – that’s Warhammer: The Old World, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, Warhammer Quest, Legions Imperialis, Necromunda, and Blood Bowl.

Some really big miniatures landed this year, including the crowning glory of the Grand Cathay range – Miao Ying, the Storm Dragon. Not only is it an incredible centrepiece, it’s two minis! Now that’s bang for your vote.

The rest of the top five contains plenty of big hitters. The Saturnine Praetor and the Chiron configuration of the Saturnine Siege Dreadnought take second and fourth place respectively. Taken as a whole, Warhammer Quest: Darkwater and its overwhelming array of miniatures comes in third. The Grand Cathay Sky Lantern floats effortlessly into fifth place.

Completing the top 10 is a mix of Grandy Cathay stunners and more mechanical monstrosities from the Horus Heresy. In an amusing mirror of the top miniature for Warhammer 40,000, a Space Wolf Caster of Runes Consul secures the 10th position.

Many thanks to everyone who voted. There’s plenty of amazing stuff to come in 2026, and you’ll be able to see all of it here first on Warhammer Community. Be sure to stay tuned for new miniature reveals and previews throughout the year.

* Peculiar ‘hour’ to us, it’s been going on for ages. Next they’ll be saying we’ve had a year of Skaven.

** If they’d been combined, they’d be third place. If Vhordrai and the Revenant Draconith had also been combined, that’d free up two slots for Galen & Doralia: Outnumbered and the Deathbringer to enter the top 10.
