The Warhammer Open Series returns in 2026, and we’re kicking off the first few months with not one, but two incredible events! These are just the first two events on what is looking to be a jam-packed Warhammer Open calendar next year.
The first brings us back to sunny California at the Palm Springs Convention Center from January 16th–18th, 2026, followed by the first ever Warhammer Open event in Europe at MECC Maastricht in The Netherlands, running April 24th–26th, 2026.
The Warhammer Open Series presents the ideal weekend Warhammer experience, where every facet of the Warhammer Hobby is celebrated. Warhammer Opens include multi-day Grand Tournaments for Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and more; painting workshops with world class teachers; and Hobby Challenges that build camaraderie over themed build-and-paint experiences. Above all, Warhammer Opens create a highly social, welcoming environment where you can meet like-minded Warhammer fans and build friendships that will last a lifetime.

Warhammer Open: Maastricht
Next, the Warhammer Open Series travels to Europe for the first time! The Warhammer Open: Maastricht will bring the full Open experience to The Netherlands from April 24th–26th, 2026. Situated ideally in the heart of Europe, Maastricht’s MECC presents an incredible venue for Europe’s first Open in a highly-accessible, classic European city.

A Weekend Beyond the Tabletop
Beyond the battles, attendees can expect a full Warhammer experience, painting classes, hobby challenges, evening gaming, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow fans. After hours, the Warhammer Events team typically runs pub quizzes, casual gaming events, and other activities designed to build community.
World Championship Qualification
Most of you will have seen coverage of the pageantry and international appeal of the World Championships of Warhammer this November. Warhammer Opens provide several Golden Tickets to the World Championships, including travel for qualifiers.

Tickets for both Warhammer Open: Palm Springs and Warhammer Open: Maastricht will go on sale Saturday, November 29th at 1pm EST / 6pm GMT.
