After yesterday’s rotten display from the Maggotkin of Nurgle, you were promised a spread of verdant delights. The Sylvaneth, mercurial masters of Ghyran, are more than happy to deliver, and their envoys have bloomed into wakefulness to join us for today’s post. Adam, arbiter of all things arboreal, is here to tell you all about them.
The first Sylvaneth to sprout are a pair of battle formations. The Wargrove of Burgeoning does exactly what the name suggests and sees Sylvaneth popping up all over the place and regrowing limbs just after they’ve been pruned. The Wargrove of Everdusk, meanwhile, is perfect if you like your Sylvaneth heroes to slip through the woods at will, as it enables them to use the Walk the Hidden Paths ability each turn. Yep, all of them!
The artefacts of power for the Sylvaneth have grown equally strong. Glamourweave enables a hero to re-roll one hit, one wound and one save per phase. Meanwhile, Acorn of the Ages is a cheeky pocket plant that grows an Awakened Wyldwood right in the middle of the field. Lastly, Ranu’s Lamentiri can be used to unbind an enemy spell and then, just to be spiteful, reflect the magical energy back at the caster. If you’re lucky you might even kill them outright.

The last to fruit in this update are two new warscrolls. The Ghyranite version of the Revenant Seekers has a couple of big changes. First, their sickles are sharper than ever, dealing a cool 2 Damage per hit. Second, they now use the energy stored in their lamentitri to bestow a Ward save upon a nearby unit.
The second unit to receive an update is Drycha Hamadreth, the angriest and most violent of all the Sylvaneth. Her slashing talons now get twice as many attacks, which ignore Ward saves. When an enemy unit attempts to charge her (or a nearby ally), she can either shorten their charge range with her squirmlings, or make their attacks less accurate. Finally, her discordant spirit-song manifests itself as a spell that makes her allies really angry and hit the enemy harder.
