When you talk about ‘knights’ with someone from the 21st century, they’re likely to think of armoured aristocrats on horseback. But the knights that the Imperium of the 41st Millennium has are much cooler, and much bigger.
The Imperial Knights really live up to their reputation as some of the finest and most honourable warriors in the galaxy, frequently smashing through otherwise unbreakable defensive lines with their enormous armoured war machines. Luckily, their majesty has been captured in a vast array of Warhammer artwork, that we bring to you now with the High King’s blessing.

It’s enough to make you want to swear fealty to someone born into an unattainable position of power and privilege far above your own station, isn’t it? Whether it’s the gleaming carapace of a Knight Paladin, the awesome firepower of a Knight Castellan, or the loping strides of an Armiger Warglaive, we just can’t get enough of the Imperial Knights.
If you’ve got a favourite piece of art that we’ve left out, let us know on the Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page – we’d love to hear about it, and to see your glorious Knights on the tabletop. Next week, we go from the tall to the small, as the Leagues of Votann stake a claim to our gallery space and don’t take ‘no’ for an answer.
